Replace Enchantment Bloodrazor with Enchantment Phantom

SlashStriker··1 votes·1,234 views

Phantom Enchantment 30% attack speed 30 magic damage on hit Phantom Hit: every other basic attack applies onhit effect twice (Does not stack with Rageblade. Guinsoo's rage renamed to Phantom Hit)

So basically this is nerfed version of sated devourer. I don't think Phantom Enchantment will be overpowered right now since you cannot combine it with Rageblade anymore and it would probably do less damage but we get it because we want the phantom hit effect that will scale lategame since it provided a boost to other onhit effect items.

Bloodrazor is just way too weak. When an enemy gets a single armor item like chainvest the Bloodrazor effect is completely gone. BORTK is far better than Bloodrazor since it gives you other benefits like lifesteal, AD, movement speed steal and much better sustain overall. Bloodrazor is so weak you can barely feel its effect as you can win games with onhit champions without even building bloodrazor at all. There are so many better attack speed items for instance Statikk Shiv, Phantom Dancer, Trinity Force, BortK as I mentioned and so on.

Rageblade is too expansive and too hard to make it work on melee champions. Champions who do not scale with AP will never be able to utilize the AP part making it waste of tons of gold for literally nothing

You buy Phantom Enchantment because of the phantom hit itself. Non of its stuff are wasted and unlike before it would be a bit weaker but the Phantom Hit is why we want it. The item itself is onhit item and it makes perfect sense that Phantom Enchantment is focused on that – a boost for champions that excels with onhit effects

Enchantment Phantom will naturally scales into lategame since it boosts onhit DPS by 50% to items like Blade of the Ruined King and Wits End as well as Nashor's Tooth for AP champions and champions like Yi, Xin Zhao, Kayle, Shyvana, Udyr, maybe Diana and all champions that does their thing with basic attacks. I also used to jungle Vayne as well and her ganks are were really strong

Rageblade may be built by laning champions like Kog Maw and Varus or even Kayle, while Enchantment Phantom will be built by onhit junglers like Yi, Jax, Udyr, Shyvana and so on.

I personally cannot play with onhit Yi anymore in the jungle. Bloodrazor is just too weak. I feel useless for 50% of the game or even just losing the game as onhit builds unable to make any impact in the game and because of that I feel forced to just farm the jungle because I am unable to help my team in any way

Nerfed version of Sated.

Lol you mean the buffed version that made basically every auto based champion in league god tier? Kayle, Udyr, Yi, Jax, Xin, Shyv, etc. I agree though with most of that. I don't think we need 2 rage blades though. Even though we have 2 Luden's Echos. But there are reasons why Guinsoo/Devourer was nerfed. Also the though process behind Blood razor was for max hp shred. I agree btork is better, but Razor is cheaper (though that doesn't make it viable).

Sated Devourer - 60 magic damage on hit, 40% attack speed Phatnom - 30 magic damage on hit, 30% attack speed

How is it buffed when i obviously suggested nerfed version that does not stack with rageblade. The older version had much higher stats and could stack with rageblade You don't need 2 rageblades yet we have shittier version of BorK that doesn't do shit

It scales with champions health but once champions buy just 1 armor item Bloodrazor effect is completely gone

then why the hell build even tho its cheaper?

I was referring to when you called Sated the one that gave you rage passive nerfed? When it wasn't? Unless you were talking about a different iteration of it. Also that is how it works with Runic and Ludens, and I don't have a problem with having 2 of the same items but it needs a higher justification while also being healthy for the game when Sated wasn't. And Blood razor isn't a shitty version of Botrk. Its nothing close other than giving attack speed and max hp damage. Also it should have similar scaling to Blade which only does Current HP shred so under a threshold you wont even get that passive. I don't like blood razor and I literally just said it wasn't viable but if we were going to get an alternative I want something that is worth while. If it gives you a phantom hit which I believe is an onstrike not an onhit you proc the passive twice anyway and any other onhit effects aswell. So you basically double* (not really) your damage for a 2200 gold item. Its not that fair tbh and that's what the problem with the first Sated was.

SlashStriker1 votes

so basically a healthier item for the game is an item that doesn't do shit in the game, with which onhit effect champions were stuck with for 2 years

Bottles The Pimp2 votes

Nope, but having a 2200 item that basically doubles your damage and proc's your 3 stack passive in 2 hits is less balanced in my opinion. Udyr having inifinite wave clear, and phoenix burst every 2 autos. Jax having 500 bonus damage on hit every second auto. Xin healing 30-40~ hp(not including lifesteal) every second auto. Are you seeing the theme here? Also another thing you forgot about is the second half of that item combo. Tiamat. So probably the strongest dueling you can ever have in the game because they burst squishies and outsustain tanks, coupled with full build wave clear. Just by buying 1 and a half items. That's not even including their kits. Udyr Attack speed steroid that would probably near max him out by 20 minutes with tforce, stun every 6 seconds and a speed boost free shield. Also Tiger stance and Turtle now have 3 procs as well so basically unkillable since if you reactive tiger strike on a champ you instantly do the entire duration of that last dot before reapplying it. Jax invulerable to all auto attacks for what like 2.5 seconds while also reflecting the damage back when it pops that also scales with Rage blade and Tiamat. Free attack speed steroid and probably one of the scariest to have that since he does hybrid damage and he probably wouldn't need blade anymore. So he heals 150 hp per auto while still doing 700 back to you lol. Tankiness steroid and a jump every 4 seconds. I'm not going through the rest but yea they don't really need it. Considering the champs that would use it are decently strong or balanced right now.

SlashStriker1 votes

when the hell did i even mentioned the gold cost?

30% attack speed and 30 magic damage onhit costs around 1500 gold tier 2 jungle item costs 1000 gold

Xin healing 30-40~ hp(not including lifesteal) every second auto

oh my god thats so stronk... an ADC heals for 100 to 200 health per crit

Bottles The Pimp2 votes

I was off by 400 gold. But you are buying 3 steroids for cheap it basically replaces every other item they need. All jg items cost 2625. So that one would too. It's stats are too strong for that cost.

Bottles The Pimp1 votes

And that's not even including the onstrike passive it gives. It's too much of a power spike.

Bottles The Pimp1 votes

Even though you can pubstomp an adc in the dirt with half of those champs if you get on them. But it's funny you skipped Jax's and Udyr's heals which would put that to shame without building crit, you go for the more "balanced" one even though I said without life steal that also would probably bump that up another 50 hp per auto. They also have some form of shield or invul btw so there's that too. They can also all build Visage which increases all healing by 25% so yea. GG unless you are saying an ADC is going to outsustain a sated fullbuild jax with E and Q up.

So basically Sated comes out. Jax op again.

Fckjaxsuo43v3r1 votes

Trinity exists, Jax is very strong. Trinity + tiamat or BRK or rageblade: Jax nearly unbeatable even if he goes 1v2 (if played by someone experienced, not a first timer or someone who changes champ each game like me). Hextech gunblade Jax sustains like a no brainer BTW (and it was already true in s4/5 when I played it). Half if not more of his damage is magic-based, so physical drain only isn't very optimal.

Sated had to be stacked, and one of the main reasons you bought it in the first place was so you could stack it for the Phantom Hit.

This stops the effect from being gated behind that, and while it's less damage than a farmed sated, you get the spike you want much sooner, which was the point behind Phantom Hit being gated behind Sated Devourer or a stacked Guinsoo's Rageblade in the first place. It was a reward for you giving up early game presence for a mid to late game spike (much like Wriggle's Lantern into Feral Flare back in Season 4). However, this is an early game spike that still retains a lot of power into the late game, since the base stats were less of its power point (30 is only 10 less than what you would get from a item 3091 anyway) due to Phantom Hit's synergy with the champions that used it, alongside the items it was bought with such as Blade of the Ruined King or the aforementioned Wit's End.

It would be a nerfed version of sated if it still required stacking. But making it a 'buy it for raw stacks and instant phantom hit' makes it a buff because it becomes a very good early spike for champions champions who find good use with the double on-hit, like MasterYi or Shyvana, while still retaining its power into the late game.

The only thing keeping sated devourer phantom hit in check was the fact you had to power farm 30 camps before you had sated (and back those days, Lee Sin would've destroyed your team 5 times over in that time if you just stayed afk farming). And even then they had to nerf it (for ranged), and eventually just delete the item. Good riddance imo.

The thing that is keeping phantom hit on rageblade in check now is that it requires stacking, and is fucking expensive.

What you're suggesting is at the cost of a minor AS/damage nerf, you now get phantom hit AT A LOWER COST, WITHOUT NEEDING TO FARM, WITHOUT NEEDING TO STACK. You basically just removed all the balance checks even old sated devourer had, on top of that of the current rageblade. I'm a Yi one trick and even I think that is fucking ridiculous.

How would you know how balance the item will be if you never ever had pure Phantom Hit item without any bonus stats?

Have you ever tested such item?

20% attack speed unique: every other attack applies on-hit effects additional time (bonus damage removed)

You really think that is all that strong? You just remember the final effect of the item and not having any test versions of it so how would you truly know. All your speculations are based on something that always gets more powerful because stacking mechanics makes it more powerful. Not to mention how obnoxious afk farming is at least for me personally

Yes the item will be more balanced cause I am removing power from it. 60 bonus magic damage on hit was the reason why Yi was so strong in sated Devourer area. This is 180 total magic damage with double strike and Phantom Hit together so the bonus damage is huge deal especially when Yi does mixed damage and all this is every other basic attack. Now if you put 20 magic damage on hit Yi will deal 60 total magic damage with Double Strike and Phantom Hit. It's a huge deal and huge nerf

And Cowsep even said he'd buy rageblade at 3k if the only thing it gave was phantom hit. It is just that strong. It is not just Yi. I sure as hell don't want to see Vayne proc'ing W every 2 hits from the get go ever again. It seems also that you conveniently forgot that phantom hit isn't readily available, but requires 3 - 6 hits to stack. Your item doesn't even mention anything about stacking, Needing to aa 3 times before it procs and having it instantly is a big deal, on top of having access to it at 2.6k gold instead of 3.3k.

That is, until you gut the item to the point that it is not worth rushing, which totally doesn't make sense for a jungle item which is supposed to be an early game item, and its users would then opt to rush BoRK/Nashor's first before buying it, screwing over their usually bad early game even more, yet giving them a much stronger and cheaper 2 item power spike.

This seems far too powerful to be honest. Bloodrazer is a really good item too. Bonus Max Health damage per AA is extremely good.

Pokemonred2001 votes

Bloodrazor itself is honestly fine, even if a little weak. I would support changing the damage type to magical if that didn't completely nullify the purpose of getting it with armor pen items, though. (When Madred's Bloodrazor did this in Season 2, Warwick was the only champ that ever used it because it did magic damage)

on which champions other than shyvana you build it frequently?

Pokemonred2001 votes

Jax when I play him.

MasterYi and Kindred into 3+ tanks.

Xayah, KogMaw, and Vayne as my off meta jungle picks.

it feels like a great item for Tiger Udyr at the moment as well.

Tryndamere because Warrior doesn't feel that good on him to me.

And, if we're counting unreleased champs, Bloodrazor feels the best to use out of the three options available to Kai'Sa, who I like to take jungle on PBE because her early laning sucks. (item 1414 item 1412 item 1419 are her options because she scales retardedly with all three between AD, AP, and AS, but Bloodrazor feels the smoothest of the three)

What about healing on-hit?

Something along the lines of : You heal for 20% of your on-hit effects.

Easily countered by thornmail yet still very decent. Scales decently, the healing is not that disgusting as the basic damage of autoattacks is not included so it's very far from being 20% lifesteal.

onhit champs need longer time to fight so having extra healing makes sense unlike champions who deal insta burst

as you mentioned you get thornmail and have a way to counter onhit
