you are selecting your preferences when you pick mid/top, or bot/mid, whatever it is you are choosing.

you aren't mandated to play in that position, notice you still have the option to trade champions, and pick anything you feel like, if you get bot your champion selection is not limited to just ADC's/modekaiser.

once again, you selected your role preference, its still up to you to work with your team and assign what you want to do with your team in champion selection

if you dont like dynamic queue dont be funneled into it, if you get support and you queued up for mid/top but you got autofilled into some 4man premade, go ahead and pick that top laner you wanted too.

prove to riot dynamic queue doesn't work and it makes games worse than solo q ever did. you have no obligation to be the fill of a 4man. you're first pick after all.

that 4 man should have to fill for you, a 4man should have no say in what roles they want at all.

... The 4 man already gets filled. Before they can queue up, they have to be willing to cover all 5 spots. If you're getting Auto Filled and put with a 4 Man group, then that's a bug on Riot's part.

the 4 man has complete control over roll selection, they are only mandated to select one role each

Spoken like someone who has never used the new champ select with a party larger than one.

  • A group of 2 is required to have 3 roles selected
  • A group of 3 is required to have 4 roles selected
  • A group of 4 is required to have 5 roles selected
  • A group of 5 has no restrictions on roles selected

no you wont. you'll get reported (because as expected you are doing something the children dont like and it upsets them) but so long as you try to win your team can whine and complain all game long and so long as you dont retaliate you have done nothing wrong. sure you're more likely to lose for not bending over backwards for them and chancing their skill to be adequate and not boosted. but what im getting at here is you are doing nothing wrong, and its nothing riot can ban you over

Except when they released the new champion select system, it was explicitly stated that if you didn't go the role you were assigned without a mutual agreement from both players, you would be punished. Do that enough times, you get banned.

Not playing in the role that was assigned by New Champion Select is a bannable offence. You can report other players for it under Unsportsmanlike Behavior in the reporting system.

the fact that he has multiple different answers to meet his needs at the time and its not on the boards or in any guidelines to follow. or even in game.

hes saying if you are trying to ruin the game and make a bad time, thats reportable and goes under unsportsmanlike conduct. but im saying if you are trying to win and work with your team then its fine.

ie you think picking zed mid is a bad idea when the enemy team already has mundo/sejuani/nautalis on their team, but your team mate is bent on picking zed no matter what, but we clearly need ap damage, so you pick an ap mid laner before he gets to pick zed instead and force that zed to play something else. and lets hypothetically say 2 additional team mates are also calling out in chat zed is a bad call, what do you do.

all the time i see streamers like qtpie (and others who will not be named, but i felt it was necessary to give you at least one) locking adc anyway as first pick, anything happen to him? no they were happy for their carry.
