What do the boards have to say about Sona?

Sona is good at poking and disengaging. For builds, if you are ahead you can build ap like frost queen's claim into either lich bane or luden's echo. If you are behind go for a more defensive build with stuff like redemption and locket of the iron solari.

Honestly, there aren't a lot of combos with Sona, you basically just stance dance and auto after you Q, making sure to tag as many people with your aura as you can between casts. Use your ult to either catch someone out or counter an engage. Your passive auto can have many uses, but the one that tends to stick the most is the damage from your Q, so most people do that. You can catch people or disengage with the E one, or get better all ins with your W auto, but like I said most people do the Q one for the bonus damage.

Picking her into tank supports can be rough because you can only disengage so much, be careful against things like Blitzcrank, Thresh, or Leona. Also, while your W can potentially heal your carry through a lot of damage you will lose a lot of mana doing so, so try to make sure you mitigate as much damage with it's shield so you don't have to spend as much mana.
