PSA: Don't complain about CC when you don't try to counter it.

Since the number of items with CDR have increased (unfortunately), consequently, so has CC become unbearable. HOWEVER, this can be countered to an extent. Tenacity is a stat that reduces the duration of CC (Excluding Suppression, Stasis and Displacement). Let me list some sources of tenacity.

  1. The obvious. Merc Threads. 30% Tenacity. Really good to take if enemy has 1-2 champs with hard CC. Don't buy only to use as a source of MR. Not worth it.

  2. If you're taking Precision path. Take Legend: Tenacity. 30% Tenacity at max stacks and it's easy to get stacks by farming.

  3. If you're taking resolve path. Take Unflinching. You get slow resist and tenacity when you use summs and get 10% tenacity per Summ on CD. Really good especially on jglers cos their smite will be down in almost every fight.

  4. Elixir of Iron: HP, Increased size and 25% tenacity

  5. Sterak's (Melee only): You get 30% tenacity when you trigger it's passive.

  6. Cleanse. This one is highly situation. Think Lux mid, Morg supp, Ashe ADC, Sion top, Sejuani Jungle. So basically take it if the enemy is lockdown central. Or if you suspect enemy will have 3 ignites (won't matter late though).

Enemies CC me and are surprised when the effects wear off faster when I have only merc threads. Look at these sources of tenacity and pick and choose what suits your playstyle. If you choose at least one source and pair it with Mercs, you'll always have over 50% tenacity which is still good.

My usual set up is Precision (Primary), Resolve (Secondary). I take unflinching, Legend: Tenacity and get Mercs. I usually have about 64% tenacity iirc. This means Morgana's Q should for 1.05 seconds instead of 3 seconds (someone check this. not sure about my maths). As you can see, you save 1.95 seconds which is a whole lot in this meta.

Not including QSS or Mercurial because they aren't sources of tenacity. But you can get them to counter Suppression and Suspension.

Note: Tenacity stacks multiplicatively. So 30% tenacity plus 30% tenacity won't give you 60% tenacity.

Getting cc'd for 1.5 sec means death, people complain about this, not cc itself

Stacking more than 2 forms of tenacity is super inefficient as the return gets diminished more and more

There are so many counter items that still support your champion's playstyle and it's pitiful how much people complain. It's like people expect you to play a single champ a single way. That used to be a problem back in the day but nowadays you can still do what you gotta do just by playing a little differently if you're not built to perfection.

unflinching is such trash, only because it doesn't have base stat until you use your summoners
