Can the new kayle go mid viably?

I remember that old kayle used to be picked as a mid in the LCS and you'd occasionally see people do that games. However since riot messed up her E and she's and immobile melee champ until level 11, I don't see her working out so well in mid. Does anyone have experience with this, can mid kayle still work?

i fought a kayle top recently as heimerdinger, and i completely demolished her in lane because of her weak pre 11 against ranged opponents. So im going to say no, not without heavy jungle support.

She's viable in most roles if you're smart. Farm on tower if you're against a hard harass ranged. Just like nasus you need to be patient and smart. You'll be fine. Also you need the right runes. Most kayles right now are noob AF don't know how to use her properly.

First of all - I think Mid is the best Role Kayle can take because you don't gimp your Teamcomp when doing so - I hate squishy tops!

Second: I have some success with Kayle in Mid. I'm still experimenting with some different rune setups. And so far I enjoyed using these two:

Glacial Augment with the full sustain Kit of Footware, Biscuit and Time Warp - with Resolve(Bone Plate, Rvitalise) or Domination(Taste of Blood, Ravenous) This one almost guarantees a save laning phase but is quite lackluster during endgame. As Build: -> -> -> anything you think is good on new Kayle
Lethal Temp with the classic ADC route - with Inspiration(Biscuit, TimeWarp) This one is riskier but ALOT more efficient once you reach 11 or god forbid 16! (i think the risk is worth the reward in most matchups) As Build : -> -> -> -> -> Anything you think is good on new Kayle. (One game I went from there and it felt amazing!) I'll probably go for instead of Hurricane next time.
Anything else I've tried/seen so far is... lackluster. I'm to bad to use Spellbook and I#m not a fan of Footwork and Grasp than can be considered. and are strong as well - strong but no longer mandatory - I have the feeling build without them,at least without Rageblade are superior for the time being.
