You know, I really don't know why Riot couldn't have done the smart thing with LB

CAUTION : Most likely a poorly worded Rant ahead

You know, nerf the thing that literally everyone unanimously agreed(even LB mains) was just bonkers, the chain. Granted that wasn't the only issue, her ridiculous waveclear was a pain to deal with but it got properly tuned to healthy state so moving on.

Literally all you had to do was nerf the length of it. That way LB would be forced to actually use her trickery and deceptions to maintain the chain at a closer range if she wanted that sweet SoM proc. It would have addressed the fact that reworked LB contrary to what the rework set out to do, lacked counter play. Now, that probably sounds weird because there's a 1.5 second delay on it but here's the thing, the fact is that the chain had such long a range meant the enemy didn't have anything meaningful to do other than flash out of range(lmao as if) or use any sort of shield/invuln/heal and pray that they survived. There was no way for the enemy to really fight LB because her kill pattern was extremely safe when played by any semi-competent player who knew how to kite. All you had to do was land the chain, and kite with W and tada you got kill. Now that actually suits the "Kite Mage" thing you wanted for her.

However here's the thing though, as LB mains, we were under the impression that we played an assassin. So why is it that in an update aimed at assassins was our champion slowly over the course of the multiple following patches, made into some supbar burst mage with even more subpar waveclear compared to other actual pre-existing mages and such terrible kill pressure that she needs to build 2 items that stack artificial AP ratios onto her kit?(Wow that's a mouthful) If we wanted to play AP Sona, we'd play AP Sona, keep that shit away from LB.

You could have kept an assassin playstyle with one change, instead you decided to just disregard her playerbase and pander to some other obscure group of players that actually enjoy playing this terrible parody of what was our champion.

Well, it looks like I've finally lost steam on this topic. Now I know people are probably tired of seeing LB rant threads, but this has been festering in my head for so long I had to get it out. I'm sorry if this is an eyesore to read as well, I'll read through it again some other time and edit any mistakes and poor wording choices.
