But... GOD. Riot. Please stop making binary champions. So ok, Poppy is now added to the long list of champs with what I like to call a "fuck you" button. About ti land something on Yasuo? Wind Wall. Fuck you. About to kill Tahm's teammate? Devour. Fuck you. About to kill kindred? Ult. Fuck you.
I understand that Trynd, Kayle and the like have been in the game for forever, but so many new champs have had skills and abilities that just plain DENY the other team the ability to do something. Not like a stun either... just a massive cockblock skill that can only be gotten around a specific way. It's why you pretty much HAVE to counterpick Yasuo or you will pull out your hair all lane. If you can hit him through windwall he's crap and if you can't he's cancer incarnate. Can you stop the Kalista hops? Well then prepare to get kited to infinity and beyond! Vulnerable to slows? You'll NEVER escape Ekko. He can press R to escape you tho.
It doesn't feel like very good design when EVERYONE has these sorts of moves. It turns the game into a contest of who counter's who's cockblock skill over who has more skill with their champ. I'll reserve judgement on poopy until I play her but.... this trend is REALLY bothering me. Am I the only one?

In the end, it'll depend a lot on execution. If she needs to charge up for the superhuge knockback, with it only covering a very short distance if used reactively (and you able to interrupt it like a regular channeled ability), it is something you can play around rather well - unlike Janna instant-disengage-button, for example.
Another tactic that should work is to put Poppies team between you and your base - it always knocks you in the direction for your fountain. If you can bait the Hammer skillfully, you could even use it to engage on Poppy's backline.

which is odd because the overview has her listed as a "solo laner" or "jungler" now.....
Her ult is now stupid. and not a good stupid. It's quite possibly the most useless ult in the game.
