Can we talk about thunderlords for abit?

I'm not gonna call it broken but doesn't thunderlords seem to be too unbalanced? In the current state of the game thunderlords is good, so good infact almost ALL champions take it, completely overshadowing all of the other masteries to the point where if you take anything else you're basically giving up your lane depending on what champion and lane you're in. It's even so good to the point where the damage in trading is making up for poor early games like vayne lanes.

Thunderlords itself is not too strong, it's just comparatively strong. The other offensive keystones are really weak, but this is getting changed next patch.

We know Thunderlord's is too strong. That's why Precision is being nerfed and most other keystones are being buffed.

Why do we get 5 "Thunderlord's is OP!" threads every single day when we've known for about two weeks that they're addressing it from two fronts?

They are buffing a lot of keystones other than thunderlord's next patch to make them more competitive. I hope it works.

All three of the ferocity masteries out damage thuderlord. Basic math proves it. If any imbalance exists it's within the cunning tree, not the keystones.

The constant debates between Thunderlords and Deathfire touch has already proven Thunderlords to be better with a few special champions for deathfire touch, Fervor of Battle can only be stacked on champions and while late game is does deal a hell of alot of damage, can only work on champions like Kog but even then it's useless as it won't help him if no one is there to protect him, finally Warlords Bloodlust doesn't work with minions anymore so it's amazing sustain is now irrelevant and is completely useless for the early game where it was mattering the most. Atm Thunderlords early game trading is too amazing for the other keystones to compete with to the point where trying to fight without it during the early game almost always mean you'll be outtraded.

At all stages of the game for AD champions, thunderlord is less damage than an auto attack, every twenty seconds. For AP caster champs it is less than an auto until around mid game.

A single crit from Warlord increases attacks speed which grants you the extra hits to out damage thunderlord. It not healing off minions is a silly thing to say when we are talking about damage. Warlords out damages and gives a little bonus heal.

DFT straight out damages thunderlords if you can keep it on an uptime of about 1/3 to 1/2 of the time.

Fervor of battle, even at level ten will have done 220 damage just getting it stacked, and once it's stacked does ~40 damage per hit. So, if you can even just get it stacked and not keep it, you still outdamaged thunderlord unless somehow you manage to have over 400 bonus AD at level 10. The required bonus AD for TL to win that calculation keeps rising.

We could even be completely stupid and go grasp of the undying on a ranged auto attacker and it would still outdamage thunderlord till late game.

Tell me again how it's the best thing in the world when it does less damage than an auto attack.

TLDR, maths confirm you are seeing TL because it's easy to use and because cunning tree has really nice choices, not because thunderlord is stronger than other keystones.

Thunderlords doesn't seem like it deals much damage through math alone but in actual practice procing thunderlords is still something that wins trades alone.

Warlords does not offer combat stats only passive sustain stats that will only become useful during that late game when crit damage and how often you crit is at a peak and even then the only champions that will benefit from this are mainly ADC's, yasuo, and tryndamere. During the laning phase even with an early crit item on an ADC you'll still lack the amount of damage for that 15% healing to do anything and the attackspeed buff will only really help you if that engagement lasts for more than a couple of auto's.

Fervor of Battle is not ideal as again while the math sounds great I don't know what sort of trade or all in would be taking place where you would beable to stack that and keep up the damage to make that mastery worth while.

Finally DFT is the same as Fervor, in no way are you going to beable to proc that enough to actually outtrade thunderlords without putting yourself at risk of running out of mana, putting yourself in a position to get ganked, or even get out traded for getting out of position trying to go aggro.

In the current meta it's all about ranged champions getting their thunderlords proc off as quickly as possible then backing off and playing passive till the Proc comes back up.
