do you know why mid laners dont take ignite anymore?

because they recognize its just not needed, you have such an excess of damage everywhere else that ignite doesn't make a difference, ever.

do you know why supports are now taking ignite? because they now feel empowered enough that their damage matters and they could potentially kill a carry given the opportunity.

do you know what this has been the result of?

MYMU, thats right, CDR injected into every item to the point where every1 hits 40%, thats right, everyone. if you want it, you can have it no problem no sweat.

Wot? Since when are midlaners not getting ignite?

most mages take ghost but assassins and cancer Ahri still grab ignite usually

I started taking Exhaust when I dont want TP even on assassins lately. Ignite honestly just feels so... bad, at least compared to Exhaust lol.

I've seen exhaust on midlane melee champions often. Kinda bothered by it honestly.

In what way exactly? Ignite being weak or Exhaust being op? I take it on Fizz mostly to be less dependent on my ult.

In that I don't want to get exhausted by the opposing Yasuo when I'm trying to run for dear life.

ignite's really good if you have kill power before level 6 imo, otherwise yeah I would take exhaust or ghost

I think it's more about keystones.

Keystones give that extra bit of damage to kill off a target and make Ignite redundant. Mages with the right keystones currently deal so much damage that they simply don't need ignite, so being able to reposition (to unload their combos or escape) is more useful to them.

Assassins still take Ignite because they need that extra damage, since they need to all-in to have any hope of getting kills.

I like to take Cleanse against Annie and Barrier if I don't think I can win my lane. Exhaust is pretty good if you want to cripple them and does anyone remember Bjergson did the trend of TP mid? I like having that one on Taliyah and Veigar for a bit of extra roam potential.

Pretty sure its because 1) roam meta, 2) ignite countered by rampant shields, 3) its more versatile for secure or disengage, and 4) its the only chance you have of catching or escaping asscancer steamrollers like Fiora, Yasuo, Hec, Udyr, etc.
