It might just be me but I am literally incapable of laning against Darius as a melee champion. If I play someone like Urgot I can just keep poking him while getting my farm and I can win lane, but when I go back to melee champions like Illaoi I get destroyed, especially because of his E and bleed effect. How do you lane against Darius as a melee champion and not get dominated?
Jamaree1 votesIt is pretty difficult all things considered as his kit from the ground up is designed to beat melees.
Your best bet is to bait out his Q and either all in, or do the brunt of your damage then back up before he can retaliate

(if he has enough ghouls and if he hit E).
Illaoi can beat him the same way as Yorick tho. She can farm pretty safe with Q.

Kled is really interesting here. He can all in Darius, he is able to perform short trades and also safe farm.
Malfectious1 votesGet to about level 3 with press E (hopefully with you 3rd strike ready) then press Q jump on him and fight him up close. He has a hard time with you in his face dodging his melee attacks. (Stay inside of his Q, don't be scared) He will not be able to go to to toe with you...this only gets easier after you get your R.
