Transitioning to PvP

I've been playing League for a few months now, almost all Co-op though. I'm an avid Smite player, so I know a decent bit about MOBAs, but I haven't been able to decide whether or not to play normal PvP games yet.

I have 14 champions and I know most of them very well. I can carry bot games if I have to and they really aren't hard at all, but I'm just unsure of my skills.

Does anyone have advice for playing PvP matches? SHOULD I play PvP matches yet? Thanks!

The question is, do you want to improve and are you competitive? If the answer is yes go ahead and try out PvP. In my opinion it is the best way to improve. You will adapt to different strategies, mechanics, and will actually get a good sense of how the game is progressing with its meta. I am not joking when I say this part by the way, play at least 100 games of PvP draft before trying ranked. This should be enough to get used to your champions and how to carry with them. Lastly, I would recommend looking at youtube videos of high elo players, coaches, and a variety of guides.

Definitely move to PvP. It's where the real game is.

Ok, thanks! I've looked at some videos, but I'll definitely be doing some research before heading out. I didn't intend to touch Ranked for a little bit yet, either, but I wanna get better for sure.

Anyone have recommendations for players to watch? I'm not focusing on any role in particular but I play mostly toplaners/ADCs.
