Im literally in a game right now, as neeko against vlad. Keep in mind vlad was ganked by my rammus, so it was me and rammus against vlad, this dude heals for so much while dealing so fucking much! one ability was enough to deal half my fucking health, and he easily 2v1ed us, a champion should not be able to 2v1 if they have not gotten a kill before.

Enderkk4 votesThere is plenty of counter play to Vladimir. Buy grievous wounds or ignite him. That will cut his healing by a substantial amount. Vladimir is hard to kill but early game he has no range and no wave clear. So shove the wave in with your superior wave clear and roam. he won't be able to follow. Hopefully this help

Enderkk9 votesYeah, it is hard to get morellos early. Vlad can be difficult to play against. I wouldn't say he is broken but is definitely one of the stronger champions right now. Pushing him in and roaming is probably your best bet early game :)

vlad is so sleeper broken people just accept him doing what he does and don't call it for bullshit. but it's actually bullshit what he does. his Q, it's just terrible design, it should be reworked some time in the future and rito know it. his Q as a concept should never have been released into the game.

The problem is his Q is his identity and I doubt Riot would get rid of it if they were to rework him.

i reckon best bet is making it a two part skillshot with a cap on how much sustain it can give at each level. q1 - vlad rends blood from an area in a line, give it vector aiming like rumble ult and vik Q so he paints an area with this. the effect stays on the ground for what 3 seconds? 2 seconds? rito have their private servers they can alpha something together, have it do some minimal amount of dmg if we must insist. q2 - vlad recalls the blood to himself and any enemy standing on it has their blood taken into vlad, damaging them and healing vlad for bonus hp.
or even better let him stack many q1's about and he can recall them all at the same time. have it capout at 3 before they just expire, he can recall the blood rends after some or another amount of time like 2 seconds, after that point he has to throw out another one before being able to recall the blood. i mean there are ways his Q could be much more interactive and healthier than it is. heck if the vector aiming is too much then just have him drop some blood in a radius and it pools out for a bit. maybe it starts at 100 radius and extends to 225 if vlad just lets it lay for a while. just please anything but a point and click sustain and dmg button.

Dynikus3 votesHe is broken, yes. People have been asking for nerfs for a very long time, but I digress. Contrary to what would logically make sense, early grievous wounds isn't the way to go. His early game sucks, and he doesn't actually heal for much until mid/late. You're better off buying MR to counter his early.
That said, your best bet when laning against vlad is to just not lane against him. Shove your wave and roam, get the rest of your team ahead, and try to end out the game before vlad becomes an unkillable piece of shit. You're not killing a vlad with a brain without ganks, and his early wave clear sucks, so most champions should be able to clear faster than him.

Broken doesn't necessarily mean overpowered. You also can't really base balance on master+ winrate. Riot doesn't even use winrate as a factor when balancing for skilled play, as there's too small of a sample set. You're also only looking at midlane, when he's played mid, top (about as often as mid), and rarely bot. His top and (albeit incredibly small sample set in master+) bot winrates are a fair bit higher, with a sizeable banrate as well.

Broken would mean they have something in their kit that makes them basically impossible to balance, regardless of their numbers. ie: akali pre-shroud nerf, irelia, azir, kalista, etc. Unless they're nerfed into nonexistence, their kit doesn't feel fair.
I know how to play into vlad, and he actually does require a decent amount of skill to properly pull off. But if someone knows how to play him, he's near impossible to kill.

- Bruisers destroy him 1v1
- Vlad relies on his flash or flanks to reach the backline, good peel or mobile carries make it hatd for vlad to kill priority targets 3.point and click cc can stop him after his pool and he can be bursted down
