Honestly, Neeko Feels Like a LeBlanc VGU

It pains me to see a concept that should have been on another champion, but it gets put on a new champion. Players said the idea of using illusions to hide your champion would be great on LeBlanc. Here it is on a new champion and not on the master illusionist who tricks people. I think it's fair to say that these Developers just don't care about their older champion pool anymore. They do half-arsed work on reworks for older champions, unless the champion is a popular one. They are constantly prioritizing reworks and VGU on popular and new champions. It feels like all they ever talk about is the same crap over and over again.

The new champion looks fun and great. Unfortunately it feels like a concept that we already had in the game on an older champion. Yet again, concepts and abilities are being stolen from one champion and put on a new one.

Yup, just like Karma's shield bomb giving to fucking Ivern's ult.

And they won't give it back to her because they want to cater to "her new players" when all her old players are asking for it back constantly.

Yep.

Neeko's mimic is her passive and only works on allied champions. It won't be as RNG as Zyra's plants, but it's not something she will be able to cast at will and will need a bit more "thought" to properly setup.

They could still give LeBlanc something similar in allowing her to mimic enemy champions. Now that would be devious.

Neeko's mimic is her passive

It also affects her W, but you right the initial mimic is her passive. Her W is based on whatever her form at the current time of use is.

It does look like she can cast it at will. I don't know yet if it's like Kindred marking a champ or if she has to click on an ally when her passive is up, but it's thankfully not something that just happens when she's near an ally.

We won't know till they explain. From what we can see though she HAS to be near that champion so it might just be something that happens, such as Zyra's passive that just happens on a timer. Also I'd like to add another stipulation being she has to be stationary, but that bit with Hecarim might prove otherwise. We'll see soon.

I just watched Red Mercy's video on her and it does work like Kindred's mark. There is a bar of allied champions above your items and you click on which champion you want to mimic and you will mimic their current health/mana/etc.

I actually disagree with this 100%. I would rather keep older champs largely intact and make new champs instead of doing Galio/Urgot/Eve-style reworks.

I mean sure if you ignore the fact that there are more races in this game than white women.

Giving a similar playstyle to another race is kinda what you should expect. Because there will be illusion-based champions of Vastayan heritage and people will want an illusion-based Vastayan champion. And here we are.

how tf is this a lb vgu, it looks nothing like lb besides the clone.

Correction:

She's not Vastayan. We now have a new race in the game, which means a new set of literally everything you already saw before.
