We are going into a season with broken mechanics, over-tuned damage, and a rune system that is causing more trouble than it was supposed to solve. The time this patch was created is not the issue. The feedback has been given since the changes were made and still nothing has been done. Preseason has seen many imbalances over the years, and I am not going to argue against that. However, this preseason is the worst I've seen in quite some time.
Skill gap is gone, higher ranked/more mechanically skilled players than me get destroyed in seconds by unpredictable burst. I am a silver player on a good day, gold 5 at best and play alongside friends that are ranked far higher than me and find myself still winning lanes with huge farm differentials and even level disadvantages only because they don't mater when you can 100-0 someone with two casts. Characters that are meant to scale and have a late game are about as useful as an AFK. AP itemization is all over the place. ADC itemization is too good for how over-tuned damage is. There are still runes that don't help with specific champions. The system that was meant to "add new play styles" has once again found itself with cookie cutter choices for each role that are so good that you are stupid to go with anything else. I barely see any game going past the 30min mark.
Furthermore, Riot released a video stating "they are listening to feedback" only to send this heaping turd of a preseason on to season launch. When/if things finally get fixed there is going to be drastic changes to people's rank just from mechanical skill being brought back, and as a result probably more rage on the boards/reddit. The current state of the game should not being seeing the start of the actual season.
