Why do people do it? It seems absolutely time wasting. The JGler typically gets all the gold, sure the top laner gets a level 2, but after like a wave and a half, you're level 2, AND you have Cs, AND you have farm. I main top in Ranked 5s, and only play it in SoloQ if there is really no other option, or the JGler I queue with is going to babysit my lane.

My JGler was a Graves, and I was a Gnar - So I didn't walk away with much, and the shitty part is, I was tanking everything and had to use my starting pot.

The jungler gets a faster clear, you get a free level 2, and you get to walk to lane with extra items. However i think some champs cant do it as well as others so that may be your issue like if you play Nasus it would be really slow but if you have like a shyve and a olaf it could be super fast

Yeah i think that was your issue both of your champs suck at clearing

He starts blue or gromp and I start krugs or red then at level 2 we both run to the enemies buff and kill them or at least make them back off there and jack their buff and the rest of their side of the jungle (except for 1 small minion) while we're doing that my friend takes the other side and does the same thing, we then go back to our own jungle and gank etc. until it's time to do it again.
We did this to a ww once and we were around level 6 while he was 4. He hated us so much
