Limitting dodging in ranked should be okay.

Hear me out:

what if we had things such as the Reroll things in ARAM that let us dodge ranked because:

-You get held hostage by a duo -No one has a viable comp (The team is made up of mostly mid laners and no Jg or support) -The team is extremely toxic in lobby

I shouldn't have to stay in that group, ESPECIALLY if I get a gut feeling that I'm going to lose and I KNOW I will lose.

It's a waste of my time and it's going to drop my LP.

Please implement this.

Bad players will cry "abusable" but that's why they are bad. They are so used to being sodomized by good player in lane that they see abuse everywhere.

I dodge waaaayyyyy more than most people. The half hour wait is worth it for me because it's about the time it would take to lose, but for only three lp. At the same time it's fucking bullshit that I have to dodge and lose lp just because kids are having bad days and locking in teemo jungle to get back at people that haven't wronged them.

BTW it is 10 LP for a 30 min ban... 3LP for a 6min ban for Bronze....

Furthermore it can be abused like no tommrow. Chain a system of friends that will "take the hit for you" and you can easily power your way through promos by dodging any matchup that "looks bad".

Quite the contrary.

Bad players cry because they cannot work around inordinary setup and to some extents, there are more troll in low elo. You know, those people that are so bad that even if they don't troll, it doesn't make a difference and end up where other who have to troll to get into.

Back to thr3ad, if dodging was free. It will easily take 30 mins to make a game. People will just dodge if they see unfavorable mwtchup, and it takes 3-4 mins for everyone to pick before they know their matchups.

If they do this, it better not be even close to readily available.

You realize that by doing this, you are giving 10 individuals the ability to dodge every single time you queue up, right? I've RARELY seen an entire lobby get the role they really wanted, and that equals a dodge if they can get away with it without repercussions.

Even if you only gave everybody a free dodge once per month, that is still a very high risk someone on your team will dodge the game, and you definitely aren't just going to want to dodge once every month.

Personally, I think there should be a vote for a team to dodge. a 3/5 vote to dodge the map, it would take away most of the problem. You wouldn't get dodged nearly as often and you can do it every game.

Giving EVERY individual power, in a game where there are tens of millions of individuals, is not a good idea.

I feel like if they REALLY limited it, to like 1 dodge every 24 hours or like in aram where you build up to 2 charges of dodges by playing ranked, then it might work.

Because when you have a teammate that starts the verbal abuse before muting is even an option? Yeah. I don't want to play with that crap. And tbh, I want that jerk to lose. So I WON'T be playing my best. Be it consciously or otherwise.

^ This is exactly how I am. Especially with the verbal abuse, I hope they lose. And it doesn't make me want to play.

Honestly I 100% agree with this statement.

I'm sick an tired of having to play a game I know I will lose and debating whether or not I should dodge or let someone else do that.

Again... unless you are challenger or something high dodging 1 match a day is ALWAYS the right call because the point loss is almost non existent otherwise.

I downvoted only because it would be impossible to determine whether your team is a "troll" or not by automated system... and the ablity to selectively dodge matches without cost makes the game far too easy to manipulate especially with friends. You could "dodge trade" with friends and basically dodge every match you wanted until you found one you liked.

BTW the LP loss at low ranks is minimal... 3LP for first Bronze Loss and I think 5LP for Silver. Compared to the 15+ points you will lose if you play and lose this loss (outside of a promo) is simply cost of freedom. Win the next match and you won't even notice either.

And yet the time when we had free dodges in Ranked was the worse times to queue up for matches in League history. Trolling was worse because they knew they were more likely to get the result they wanted since there was virtually no downside to dodging. Trust me, it's not worth it.

Imagine an in-game scenario.

1st pick chooses Mid. Second pick, who wanted mid, will choose another Mid. Chances are with no repercussions, someone on your team will dodge. Or second pick, who wanted mid, will dodge and just wait 15 minutes.

Its hard to give everyone the position they want in a ranked game, with everyone choosing 'good' champions, with everyone being non-toxic. Allowing free queue dodging will just increase the queue times or # of queues before the game starts. And because there is no 'quit' button while in lobby (you have to close the entire client and relogin), i dont think Riot likes the idea of dodging - even in norms.
