@Evelynn rework - Could we get champion statistics PER ELO?

Now watch as i get downvoted into oblivion for bashing on the crowd's flavour of the month...

Disclaimer: This is coming from someone that has no issues with champions like new Galio, Tristana, Azir, Ekko, Lulu or Janna. I can deal with nearly every single champion in the game now - except Evelynn, who i consider the most overpowered champion in the game.

EDIT: 59% Winrate in Diamond 4 and above.

I understand that in silver and below, Evelynn loses all the time. Lower rank players do not understand how to play her. But where does this inclination that she is weak come from? She is completely dominating Dia+ games - not just a snowball machine, but a snowball machine that has no trouble one-shotting even tanks when playing from behind.

Eve gets banned nearly every single game in draft pick. If she is such a weak champion, then why does that keep happening? Why is the average kills in Plat/Dia for Evelynn 16? Why do you insist on overbuffing a newly reworked champion? Is it because you want to see her played, despite her gameplay being extremely unhealthy? cough0counterplaycharmcough

At the VERY LEAST dont let her just walk on top of enemies while they attack her until her charm procs before she attacks back. Remove the charm if she takes damage. Please. Add some counterplay other than "group as 5".

What would be the point of removing her Charm if you attack her? She'd literally then have no CC or a way to defend herself if someone's on top of her. Eve would then not even interact with a lane or a champion unless she was obviously stronger and didn't need her CC to take down a target. If you decided to do an invade, she could literally do nothing but back off or die as her damage (as an assassin) isn't front-loaded into her abilities but come from her AP instead.

Not sure what your point here was. You say that she's not weak and want her nerfed, you say that every person who wants her buffed is crazy. In my opinion, both of these attitudes are extreme opposites.

Eve currently sits somewhere in the middle. She has clear weaknesses as an Assassin but she also works differently than them because of her Permastealth. Her entire kit has a few drawbacks to help enemies know Eve is around when she wants to engage. Her skill numbers are also lower and she absolutely sucks at clearing waves so she can't even split-push like most assassins can opt into. Basically, she is either forced to farm the jungle or kill people, even if this isn't a good idea at some points.

I don't think she needs that many buffs to make her "viable" but what i saw (and played) on PBE felt good to me. Her buffs were not out of line but definitely needed (damage numbers adjusted) and her ult got a 25% CD refund on kill + enter Camo when warping back. Her reliability isn't an issue to me and i'm glad Riot didn't immediately mess with her E and passive ranges at this point in time.

All in all, new runes are coming up very soon. Riot isn't rushing to buff anyone because the pre-season is going to be a time where a lot of stats are getting changed. With that in mind, Riot is going to have their hands full a few patches after pre-season, trying to adjust things that are under or over the line.

My problem with Eve's charm is that her charm isn't "a way to defend herself" - it's a deus ex machina that lets her blow up ANY target without ANY risk of retaliation. Not only is the charm duration absurd for something that massively reduces magic resist, but the fact she can activate it repeatedly from stealth even if she misses it leaves no other counterplay than to treat her as a juggernaut. I know assassins are supposed to kill other champions in 1v1 situations, but as far as i can remember there are no other assassins in the game that can so easily blow up EVERY SINGLE CLASS as she does. You can build defensive items against every other assassin in the game, but Eve straight up bypasses everything.

Why do i want her charm to be removed if her target damages her? Because she's supposed to be a stealthed ASSASSIN - but as it stands, what most eve players do is run PHYSICALLY ON TOP OF THEIR TARGET while their charm is charging up on them, then proc it with her E to ensure she won't miss - and she gets away with this playstyle unless her target is a full lethality Rengar, simply because the charm disables her target for so long that they die before it ends.

Riot has been repeatedly giving evelynn buffs "in preparation for preseason" where no other champions are - not even zed, who is currently the assassin struggling the most in today's meta. Now buffing champions for preseason would be acceptable - if it was being done to ANY other champions IN THE GAME. Guess what - it's not. It's only happening to the flashy new champion that Riot wants to see on the public streams, because flashy plays sell more than healthy gameplay.

I haven't seen Zed struggle in any ELO lol. Compare him to Eve and even if he jungles as she has to, he'd win because Duskblade is the equivalent to Luden's while he can go with Warrior enchantment and Eve has to buy both from Runic Echo's and can't opt into Luden's. Duskblade also comes with Lethality while AP champs don't get any flat mrpen unless they opt into Sorc boots or Haunting Guise.

With these differences, it's a matter of who engages who fist. If Zed ults Eve first, Eve has to ult out immediately to drop aggro and a possible combo from him as she has no time to charm and then wait for full 2.5 seconds to arm itself. Zed kills you in that time. If you drop a charm prior to him ulting you, you might proc is with good timing and full combo him + ult but unless you have decent AP, that won't result in a kill either. Eve's combos depend on her charm as she has no other way to keep her target in check and she also has no direct mobility to keep a decent pace with them.

Her W has a condition to become soft or hard CC. It first requires you to proc it and if you didn't wait for a full 2.5 sec arm duration, you get a 1 sec 65% slow and no % mrpen while if you did, you get a 1-2 second charm and 20-35% mpen. That's a mediocre CC duration. It's only 4 seconds on jungle monsters.

as far as i can remember there are no other assassins in the game that can so easily blow up EVERY SINGLE CLASS as she does.

I couldn't kill a BC, FM Urgot, from the sheer amount of HP he had. These are only two HP items and you do not have enough burst to kill anyone, anywhere. That's just not true. You have the ability to deal a big portion of their HP as damage but that's about it. You can be effective against tanks and high HP targets but as an assassin, Eve is suited to bursting squishies than tanks. Even Zed and Rengar can deal with high HP targets better than Eve can and she can't even skirmish with them without her charm. Even then, you should not be thinking that you have the upper hand in any fight as they have enough HP to survive you and then you have to ult out or be caught with your pants down, ready to die.
