Fiddlesticks basically doesn't exist

Come on, he's a cool champion in theory, but just unplayable at this point. He is outclassed by almost every other midlaner and doesn't even have a jungle item. You just can't play him reliably or effectively.

The problem with Fiddlesticks is not that Fiddlesticks is bad, but that the game around him is not good for him.

He's been a really good jungler for a long time, but got nerfed hard when Runeglaive replaced Magus because he's the only meta AP jungler that literally could not afford to use Runeglaive on his normal rotations, and because his clears were so heavily based around not auto attacking.

And all the fluff Riot talked about with Fiddlesticks just rushing Seeker's Armguard -> Zhonya's Hourglass instead was complete BS because Fiddlesticks' highest winrate builds either had Magus as the first item or the second after boots.

Fiddlesticks would be really good again if the AP jungle item didn't have auto attacking as a requirement for making the item worth it on your champion, because to be frank Runeglaive makes the junglers that can use the sheen proc really good and those that can't use the sheen proc really bad, with NO exceptions.

I mained him for two seasons, he got hit really hard by nerfs mostly, the runeglaive vs magus isn't that important since magus because he lost most of his potential before that. Magus not giving mana regen hurt him, the 25% off q hurt him, making q always let the enemy run from you hurt him, nerfing his w range by 150 (patch notes said 50, but it was 150) hurt him and mobility creep really hurt him, because even if you get a good ult off everyone dashes out.

The killing blow was the combination of a range nerf+removal of spirit stone though. Which is also why a better jungle item wouldn't really fix him, he still won't be able to drain people properly. Caitlyn's aa actually outanges his drain tether now. He needs the reversal of some nerfs to work properly again, even if he doesn't have a jungle item he could become good once more.

Edit: the e nerf hurt him pretty hard as well by making it harder to prevent people dashing away from you ('t was great fun to bounce an e between riven and one of her allies)

Those nerfs all hit Fiddlesticks pretty hard, but the true nail in the coffin was the removal of Magus. It sent him from somewhat playable to completely unplayable.

Also, don't forget the fact that the removal of Spirit Stone also meant that junglers as a whole had less sustain, so Fiddlesticks was better because it meant that Fiddlesticks' sustain mattered, rather than being relatively useless due to everyone getting tons of sustain.

The problem with spirit stone removal is that his mana sustain went down the drain making him blue-reliant which hurt your midlaner pretty hard. But you're right, he was somewhat playeable but extremely weak, now he's just useless.

It may not be a popular opinion, and there are definitely higher priority champions, but Fiddlesticks needs a rework.

I really want to like Fiddlesticks, but he's only good in a support role at the moment because of his CC... His W is really just for sustaining in bot lane now 'cause he ain't duelling anybody with it since it's easy to break the drain tether and because it's a DoT spell it doesn't do much if you hit somebody with it in just .5 seconds when somebody just simply walks away wasting the mana you spent casting it...

He's so dependent on his ult to do all of his damage and it's boring waiting around for it to come off CD...

And even as a support... Why pick Fiddlesticks when you can just pick Lulu? As a support she does everything that Fiddle does, but better. She HAS a point-click CC and reliable harass BUT she also has far more utility.

The idea behind fiddle support is that he provide really strong poke with reliable disengage and sustain. It makes him really annoying to lane against if you dont have the right tools. It isnt as good late game as the other mage supports because of the lack of utility, but its really annoying early.

I don't think someone is a point and click CC is gonna be bad, he just isn't flavor of the month.

Taric

Hm fair enough, but he is bad because he is just subpar right now, but no one wants him to be good because no one enjoyed him when he was strong as well as point and click hard CC being cancer.

Hullabaloo9071 votes

Taric isnt so much weak, he just lacks play potential. Most of tarics power is literally given to the adc in the form of armor shred and stats, so if you arnt playing with a team who can use all that free stuff effectively, your basically out of luck. This is compared other supports with higher active utility, which can be used to more effect if your the best person on the team.

Being fair, we can all agree that the current state of Taric is intentional. He had a great moment in pre season when he first got his W damage scale with armor, then the scaling gor reduced by about 60%.

Fiddle not existing isn't game breaking. It's what has existed since I started playing in Season 3. At this point, it's better if you ignore him until he's deemed relevant again. No rework, no problem.

It's solely due to the jungle item changes. That comment about most Fiddlesticks not building a full jungle item is bullshit. Magus was gold efficient but most importantly it gave fiddlesticks a slow/skirmishing smite and bonus gold from monster kills. Fiddle is such an awesome farmer and his ult is on CD so long that farming in between ults was the only thing keeping him relevant.

Jungle Lux God4 votes

That's because only players who main Fiddlesticks are playing him.

He has less than a 2% play rate, and has the highest average number of games played on him of all jungle champions.

Having such a low pick rate means that those statistics are skewed because those that play Fiddlesticks well are the only ones playing him.
