So far 45% of the champs see play in LCS and do well. Zed was picked 1 time 3 months ago, lost the game, didn't use ult once because delay on Zed R is cancerous and suicide.

No wonder you are Silver 3 on OCE which equals bronze 1 on EUW. Zed design is not broken, he is one of the most healthy designed champions in the game, but too weak atm to compete. Needs the ult nerf reverted and some AS back.

I got S3 from provisional and just stopped playing altogether, I think that's pretty solid to get out from that system, especially for first timers. Not to mention I have been playing this game for 4 years+, it was my first time really trying Ranked however.

Zed design is not broken, he is one of the most healthy designed champions in the game, but too weak atm to compete. Needs the ult nerf reverted and some AS back.

Define "most healthy" when he is clearly superior than 70% of the champs on the roster in terms of kit philosophy/design. I am pretty sure that's not how average works.

When a champ whose ulti has to be reworked twice within 2 years or so after launch, you know this champ is far from being a staple of healthiness.

Being <45% of the roster != garbage, there is no way the useless outnumbers the useful in a controlled environment, it doesn't make sense.
He's garbage now because Riot wants (balances) him be one and not because he was designed as one.
Because his kit design is so superior, by buffing him he would just dominate every single game like he did before and no one wants to see that.
That's why he is unbalanceable, and should be reworked to properly address the issue. It's not like his previous mini reworks actually worked in bringing him to an actual healthy state.

Learn basic statistics.

A champ with 80% pick rate but scores a 49% win rate still means this champ is broken because he is in every single game ofc his win rate is gonna be around 50%. Same thing how a 0.01% pick rate champ who has 80% win rate under his belt isn't OP because there is literally only 1 guy playing the said champ, every win he scores adds to the champ's win rate directly but by no means is this champ problematic. And if anything, this champ needs to be buffed.

Of course those are the extreme cases but you get the idea.

Win rate by itself doesn't mean jack shit. There are too many factors contributing to a champ's win rate. Another more practical example, Master Yi had 54% win rate at 1 period due to the BS Feral Flare, which after the item's demise, his win rate quickly returned back to normal. See what I mean there?

Top players are the ones who only know to abuse the most broken picks in every important match they play, while defending some of them occasionally.

Riot is the same people who believes the new Morde is healthier than the previous version, also the same group who believes that CertainlyT is a great designer.

Zed is factually the most countered assassin in the game if you count every item,ability and summoner spell.

Also if pros wanted to abuse zed they would of done so already instead of publicly admitting he's a terrible competitive pick currently

A terrible competitive pick doesn't mean the champ is garbage. It's like saying a company is trash bin because they aren't in the Fortune 500, or how someone is homeless level because they aren't millionaires.

Not sure if you leave out Master Yi because he was originally designed as a melee ADC. However if we do consider his existence in the assassin bracket considering he is often used as such, I am fairly sure he would easily take the cake for being the most countered by design.

Pretty sure I only stated that his kit design/philosophy is and not how he currently is. And yes he was broken, his ulti was reworked and tweaked numerous times because of it.

Yi is countered by anything that isn't slow, which is applicable before he reaches 6 anyway. Everything counters Zed applies to Yi, with the exception of Qss, but Yi has other things waiting for him too.

When the kit design is broken there are only 3 ways to balance them. Either gut numerically, rework or leave them as it is with some wrist slap here and there.
