Reducing Veigar IP price to 450?

I am not going to be a beggar here, but i am wondering if such a thing would be a good idea for the game overall. He was my first buy choice and teached me a lot of things about this game.

Veigar is not a farmfest like Nasus ( even if many people think so ) but empathizes the importance of farming, harrassing and sustaining the mana over the lane. After the Q passive change now he has more reasons to roam on the map and help other lanes, developing a less "lane lockdown" mentality and more strategical map awareness ( compared to twitch map awareness, like Shen for example). He is immobile and can teach about the importance of positioning, since he gets Ap by Q passive he can also afford to get some defensive items without falling back too much so it somehow safeguards the player in case of bad games. I think this case is very important because it can show players how you can be effective in mid and late game even if you had a bad lane, making them feel less powerless and enticing the players to not surrender immediately and to struggle on.

450 IP means that a champion is the first buy choice of a new player, and veigar can create a very interesting place in any rooster for that price; the only other choices are ryze ( which probably is not even anymore as good as pure mage and is very hard to use ), kayle ( which is anything but a traditional mage, if she can be barely considered one on full AP builds ) and Annie which can be effective and can teach a lot about the game, but in a different way and context compared to Veigar.

Morgana, Zilean and Twisted Fate are other champions on 1350 IP, the same tier as Veigar, and i think do not offer the same educational value as him.

Also, Veigar is cute as fuck.

I actually think it's a good idea, Veigar is one of these champs that shows that farming and timing are really important for effective teamfights, but also teaches players to be more careful with mana and using abilities. With annie, you have this Q mini game where you can farm freely with your Q, wich is nice, though does not show how careful you gonna be with mana, mostly at early game.

Exactly. Also Annie as a farming tool has a point and click spell, where Veigar has a skillshot that he needs to use properly to farm and harrass. This means that when the player has to deal with other champions is more trained to consider minion block and such.

IP prices have not been tied to noob-friendly value since Season 1.

He'll get his price reduction when the time comes to reduce prices (it's a regular schedule now).

As far as i know they only reduce tiers upper than 3k

But aniway, right or wrong that is there is a value that i am pointing here. A value that can benefit consistenly the game ( or not, i am open to discussion ) and thatcan benefit consistenly Riot ( since it can add so much needed improvements for new player experiences for a relatively not abysmal cost ). You are right that it's since a lot of time they don' t do that, but it does not mean that given a good reason it can't be done.
