Do I Really Deserve My Elo?

So, I was stuck in Bronze for tens of games this season, and then I reached my series to Silver V. I've been duoing with my cousin since then, and now I'm well on my way to Silver III.

The thing is that I feel kinda bad because I'm not sure if I deserve my current MMR or division. I mean, my KDA has been positive almost every single game, and I'm useful in fights, etc. But when I try to solo-carry games, I don't tend to do very well in that regard.

Does performing really well while duoing with someone who is better than you still mean you don't deserve your division? Interested to hear what people here think, especially since I don't believe that I deserve better elo but are stuck because "my team is bad." Good people can climb regardless, in my opinion.

Meh, you're a team player. Not everyone needs to be a carry, some players need to be a good teammate. Every Super Hero needs a sidekick.

I get your point, but it can be very frustrating when you go for objectives and the rest of the team decide to do something else. I'm not saying that "my team is always bad omg held back!!1!!" but my point is that sometimes you do need to carry. You're not always going to get a reliable team, just like how you're not always going to get a bad or even merely average team.

Oh I understand. I have tried to carry too. But that is why now I try to play Flex5s.

My point was stating my opinion, also a little cynicism at Riot. Riot says it is a teamgame, but people have stated they feel expected to carry all the time. That alone shows that something is wrong with this "team" game.

You play a tank top, which is very hard to solo carry games. Your cs isn't that great, but not consistently bronze level garbage. You also have less than 100 games played, so I think you're doing alright.

Yeah, I feel less of a need to solo-carry when I'm duoing with someone I trust. That's precisely why I'm wondering if I'm just getting carried all along without deserving to climb.

Sometimes I play him mid, by the way. I resort to that when we don't have enough tankiness, engage, and/or CC. It has worked out well so far (which I suspect might be due to the fact that I'm still playing in low elo).

If you don't feel behind in the game, then you are doing fine.

When I was laning vs superior opponents, I could literally feel myself falling behind in the game.

What specifically makes you think so? I'm interested to know if there are any particular aspects of my stats or play style that I could improve if need be, so suggestions are welcome.

Duoing could definitely effect the outcome, but otherwise yes. There is no need to be a dominate force as there is to be a consistently useful player.
