The community creates it's own issues

Been trying to get into a game for 10 minutes now, but not because the system isn't queuing me into a game. No, the reason why is because there's a fucking flurry of dodges to go through just to start one damn match. Someone doesn't remember to lock either a ban or a champ and the system dodges, or people just dodge the way they always do ("Fuck, their comp is scary. Better dodge"). Yea, the timer keeps track of ALL the time that's accumulated, but how's it fair to blame the system when it's human error that's forcing me back to square one?

Not to mention that people, for SOME reason, have a weird fetish where they gotta run down the damn clock even though they're obviously picking the champ they've been hovering over for 30 seconds. You can't blame the new queue for THESE issues.

To be fair, the community isn't saying that every part of the dynamic queue is riot's fault. Hell, people aren't even saying that every part of the dynamic queue is even problematic to begin with. There are just parts of dynamic queue which are extremely problematic and make the gamemode as a whole inferior to the solo queue from last season.

  1. I wouldn't say "inferior". They seem mutually exclusive from each other, but this one has potential to improve whereas the other one was just straight annoying.

  2. These are problems the player base themselves could fix...and of course everyone's gonna ignore that.

No one is ignoring the problems that the playerbase themselves could fix. There are multiple topics reminding players to lock in and the playerbase is making a conscience effort to fix those problems. It is just pointless to qq about those problems when everyone knows that the playerbase will fix it eventually so the boards focus on the problems that the playerbase cannot fix.

Also, it is okay to call dynamic queue inferior in its current condition. Sure riot can make changes to dynamic queue like restricting party sizes which would make dynamic queue as good if not better than last season's system. However, dynamic queue will not get better unless the community and more importantly riot realizes it is currently inferior and therefore makes an effort to improve it.

Well, Riot's making a more casual version of it for the Team Builder dwellers eventually. Maybe that'll alleviate some issues?

Outside of that, I personally don't see major issues with it. I mean, I'm not Diamond like you, and I haven't gotten into grinding ranked since it's still preseason, but my experience with it so far has been solid enough...minus people forgetting to lock choices. >_>
