Idea For Rebalancing Yasuo's Wind Wall
I really disagree with the idea that Yasuo should have such a strong utility ability that he can use regardless of the situation. He should be a in-and-out, high-risk brawler, not someone who can just trow out an ability to prevent counter-interaction/save himself when things don't go his way. My change would reward skill expression/dueling potential, while making his ability a lot more fair for the enemy.
Note: The idea is to make this neutral power-wise (nerf in some cases and buff in others), though it may come out as a big nerf overall since it's hard to see how it plays out. This is just an idea!
Wind Wall (W):
Creates a moving wall that blocks enemy projectiles.--> Creates a moving wall that blocks projectiles from enemy minions and monsters, as well as champions you have damaged in the last 8 seconds.- Duration: 4 seconds --> 3 seconds
- Cooldown: 26/24/22/20/18 --> 8/7/6/5/4 seconds
When playing against Yasuo: Pros:
- Being less cucked by the same Wind Wall (lower duration)
- No more Yasuo blocking your long range projectile when he didn't even interact with you (Ezreal/Nami ults for example)
- Being able to be more proactive against him as long as he didn't damage you recently, instead of always saving your skillshots until Wind Wall is on cooldown Cons:
- Probably even harder to play against him in 1v1s if he gets ahead
When playing as Yasuo: Pros:
- Drastically lower cooldown means able to block projectiles more often
- Much more skill expression (blocking projectiles on champions you are attacking instead of throwing it out there against just any projectile)
- Stronger potential in 1v1s Cons:
- Wayyyy less utility in teamfights (biggest con)
- Less safety when being engaged on
