I’m wondering if there are any people here that play both and can comment on the state of the games.....I love league and love the game idea but the state of it now is terrible and I need 100 normal games to even play ranked and was wondering if dota is in a better spot now and worth trying to grind games to play ranked. Thanks !

Would probably be better to ask this on the DoTA forums tbh.

Dota is more intense and difficult. Bigger map Curier Farm denying Minion blocking Monster stacking Etc

Balanced is a funny word, but it's really a different game and a lot of fun sometimes! Some people prefer DoTa over League simply by the playstyles, so I would definitely give it a shot. You might find yourself addicted :).

I'd say in many ways it is but it's honestly really hard to compare the two as they are almost completely different games in a sense. When you get ahead in Dota you simply shit on everything no matter who you are. 1v2 and 3 are common. Dota has a SHIT ton of RNG too. Meta +Viability of your hero on Dota isn't as important like league is. It's usually joked about but when everyone is op no one is op really lol.

I love dota's itemization system. There are items that root, stun, "knock up", dispel, push you in a direction, blink and even an item that gives you immunity against burst damage. And all that is quite balanced within the game design they've created. You just have to learn that ton of info and use it correctly. Lol items are more like damage, damage, damage and damage.... but these item's are pretty interesting too item 3512 item 3222 item 3157

All mobas will be imbalanced if your looking at kit strengths. Inherent to games with individual kits that do not have the same skill caps you will find imbalance in their best case usage. Simply put any higher skill cap champions are meaningless if simpler champions have the same max power. What you get in mobas is that you have the same options available to you as any other player.

So for Dota vs Lol. Dota is a bit more extreme then Leuage. Like, some hyper carries, the only real counter to them is don't let them reach late. Games over if you don't have a high scaling hyper carry as well.

Personally for me, I think league is a bit more enjoyable in its balance designs then dota. There's less Point and click abilitys and less fights come down to just Stat checking in Lol, Skill shots are pretty prevalent resulting in many champions even when ahead having counter play of dodge their abilitys. I used to play allstars for years and made the swap to league. Tried getting into dota 2 but the fact they let icefrog just copy and paste the game really bummed me out. Several of dota mechanics are just kinda bugs from limits inherent to wc3 and I was really really really hopeing that ice and valuve would push the envelope and really build a game that felt like a sequel/upgrade. Now present day I have to say that dota 2 Currently its a lot better then just another Allstars clone, but the time it took to get there and inclusion of turn speed just prevented me from personally enjoying it more. Ill pick up a game every now and then but I lose interest in a few matches. Which is a shame because I fucking love Witch doctor.
