If you buff Riven, buff her ability to face tanks

Otherwise you are forced to build tank or play ranged vs her. Her all in is still incredible if you don't build armour, but this patch you beat her easy if you are tanky.

I didn't say she should beat everyone but laning vs a tank is very bad for her atm. I can promise you a general damage buff would make her atrocious to play against. A melee meant to build damage will have to hide in turret or build bruiser on a champ that's not meant to. Similar to ranged champs forcing you to build resistances.

What's wrong with having to hide under turret? Some top laners are forced to do this in most matchups because they simply cannot win the lane phase, so they wait it out and play for mid game. If Riven has to do this in some matchups all I can say is welcome to the club.

For the last time, RIVEN HAS BAD MATCHUPS, in fact most of the meta top laners are rough lanes for her, this is completely excluding tanks.

Tanks are not supposed to be faceroll on fighters early game.

From what I can tell tanks are not a faceroll matchup for most fighters. This might just be a problem for Riven, which just makes it a bad matchup to her. Pick her late, don't pick her into tanks, or learn to have a slow early game.

You shouldnt have a good matchup vs everything. If you pick Riven and they get a tank or counterpick that is good for them i guess.

Tanks are not supposed to be riven counters in the early game.

Tanks are NOT SUPPOSED TO BEAT FIGHTERS IN LANE SO EASILY otherwise there is no point in ever playing a fighter since they are also the best top lane class in late game team fights.

Riven already has very hard non tank lanes, like jayce quinn renekton kennen, those champs shit on her and that is not a problem, now tanks shitting on her for free is a problem which is why she needs buffs.

She already has bad matchups, tanks are not supposed to be her bad early game matchups though.

hardcore riven player here- she completely scales from building ad but im forced to build tank because you get blown the fuck up from 1 cc and follow up aoe.

riven is in a bad state since the start of season 7 however this preseason gave her a chance to fight more tanks due to cut down or coup de grace. cut down kicks in at level 3 depending on the match up and its when her kit is online. sucks im forced to build tank all the time tho.
