So how about a proper fizz rework this time?

With the up and coming changes it's simple to say that fizz is going to be indirectly even weaker than he is now in the meta.

With the issues of two dimensional gameplay, lack of assassin focused itemization, and flaws within the synergy between his ult and W he's been considered low tier as it was. His only strengths he had left was high early game cheese damage and guaranteed initiation on your lane opponent, but that's all going down the drain with the addition of the hour glass changes that'll allow players to get a 1 use hourglass whenever they go to lane and also the many different runes reducing active items CD to further empower Hourglass's massive counter to fizz. Hell, I'd also say that the addition of the summoner spell CD reduction will also have an impact as well with more exhausts, barriers, and flashes than their already were.

Isn't it time to take him back to the drawing board and stop with the meaningless buffs that don't even try to address his core problems?

Yeah, I figured that out about 2 years ago. When it comes to fizz posts I've stopped caring about downvotes and just focus on getting a message across then shutting down any "Fizz has E lul" comments with logic and proper facts about him.

I believe you mean to say AP assassin itemization. Since you know AP assassins and mages share a moderately solid amount of items. Plus I am fairly certain that not everyone will bring the free single use hourglass rune to the game. You can probably expect it as well as the total biscuit delivery rune whenever someone is running into a hard counter though.

The difference in playstyles are completely off. AP itemization specifically lacks the same utility, pen, and damage that the AD counterparts have simply because mages have always been at the for front of AP champions and they'd become broken if assassin focused stats were given to them. See DFG as an example. The simple fact of the matter is that existing AP assassins work differently than mages, so the only things that are shared between them that they both need is raw AP and CDR.

Fizz is particularly hurt by this due to his linear playstyle. His mobility puts him in a 2 choice flow chart, you either fully engage with your kit, or you disengage. There's no flexibility involved that allows him to reliably assassinate anything without sacrificing his means of survival, so it's a suicide run at best or not fighting at all.

That's his number 1 issue right now, but disregarding his kit issues there's still inconsistency in his ability to kill off targets even if he lands perfect combo's. This is due to ever increasing amount of items and abilities that offer insane amounts of survivability to even the squishiest of targets.

If Assassin itemization existed for AP assassins then this could remedy that issue and band-aid underlying kit problems with higher kill potential. It's also long over due anyway that AP assassins had item lines made for them.

Ekko and Leblanc are different because they were much better designed than things like Fizz, akali, and Diana if you count her. They're closer to mages in alot of aspects and hold the ability to weave in, out, and around fights that make them as well as Zed top tier.
