Leona was D- tier, so you nerfed her?

Excellent work Riot. As if her damage wasn't non-existent enough ever since Runes Reforged, now its really REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY non-existent. You couldn't compensate this pointless R nerf with a Sunlight buff? Or something? Anything?

The W change is irrelevant, couldn't care about it one way or the other, it doesnt actually change anything for her. Its neither a buff or nerf, its just a pointless change so Riot makes it look like they aren't ignoring the champions in the dumpster.

She has damage, stop pretending she doesn't. She doesn't need the incandescence damage at all.

And "w change is irrelevant" my fluffy ass. It's a straight-up buff against AS-based champions, which, surprise surprise - most ADCs are. The nerfs to the armor and MR are pretty damn light. She needed to lose both to compensate for that honestly large buff.

Incandescence was pretty useless honestly, unless the extra range could be used with her Q; even then, Leona is also one of the supports that build Relic Shield, so that may have been an awkward switch as well.

As for the W changes, it is actually a net buff to her as a support; since the flat damage mitigation applies to all damage, even true damage. This includes the DoT from Ignite, which would make her more risky engages early on more rewarding.

This is something I noticed with Fizz, though in his case it may have been to help with trades in lane.

Incandesence was a big part of her kill potential. Which tbh, was alrdy at an all time low to begin with.

Yes the W change is a net buff, but its a pointless buff that doesnt address anything wrong with Leona, nor does it justify nerfing her R. The EH difference of her new W vs her old W is so tiny, that its irrelevant. Its pointless. Leona doesnt have a problem with mitigation. Leona has a problem being reliable, being mobile enough to function, and being all-in, with no way to do anything if she gets CC'd mid Zenith. Her new W isn't going to save her from any of the situations that are already killing her as a viable champion.

but again, the W change, I don't care about. Its the R nerf. Its stupid and ungrounded. What is the purpose of nerfing her damage? Her damage was lower than Braums and Alistars, there was no reason to nerf it.
