there is only one person who needs it, the ADC, it's your primar source of damage and you can't afford him to die

Direct comparison page stats that Varus receives far more assists (likely because of his q's effective range and ult's utility), gets just as many assists for Zed's kills, and deals more damage over the course of a game than Zed.

Looks to be that Varus is just a better secondary carry for the team than Zed is.

I'd say Lissandra is the closest to a counter-pick.

But even then it's still a skill match-up. Zed is basically a free lane because even if he is up against Lissandra, he can just farm from a safe distance and you can do nothing about it.

Take a vlad mid vs a decent zed and see what happens, he will just shove lane and poke to bait pool and all in when its down

As i said above

Safe lane =/= hard counter

Bard and tahm are good vs him but how often does bard actually get played well or tahm make it out of picks and bans?

lol... there is no way for zed to win against vlad, vlad will just sit between the minions and zed denying him, if zed uses his cd on minions then it means free kill for vlad, and zed can't even fight back.

safe lane =/= hard counter? any champs that sanji posted hard counter HARD zed in any point of the game Zilean Kayle destroys zed's game because he can't do his job same for Bard TahmKench

Ahri Annie Malzahar Lissandra not only have safe lane against zed, but also cc him in fight, malz ulti will rekt him, annie's low range is compensated by zed jumping in the fight, and ahri can't miss her skillshot because when zed ulti, you see him comming and he has a delay= can't dodging her charm

Ekko Fiora on the other hand, aren't hard counter

to be fair Azir still doesn't outduel Zed even if zed is a melee or not >_> J4 will always be strong as long as he can choose tank or damage on the fly and do well requardless, as he is meant to knock up and lock down

zed isn't melee, he has manaless ranged spell that helps him to farm on a 6 seconds cd, melee can't lane against azir because he prevents you from farming from lvl 1-4/5. but zed can farm because his shuriken has 6 sec cd, no mana and allows him to farm

zed is a melee champion, the fact he has a ranged ability doesn't make him a ranged champ, AA range defines whether you are melee or ranged. Kayle is melee by default, but is ranged with E. Only stating the fact that melee assassins are melee champs and actually are good against azir due to them having high mobility

you didn't understand, zed is melee, but when it come to farm he is ranged because he can farm from 600 range with his Q which has a low cooldown, obivously he is talking about laning phase, not farming. that's why zed can lane against azir

Zed's hardest counter right now is lulu mid, she can essentially negate every single engagement by Zed and with thunderlords she became a bigger lane bully than she was before.

lux and liss are both pretty good as well because of their lane harass and ability to survive and tank a lot of Zeds damage.
