Caitlyn's Q

Is Cait's Q actually good for anything after the laning / poke phase of the game, other than wasting mana, the random blind shot into bushes, and maybe tagging an enemy who's at 1% health for a kill shot? Maybe I'm missing something, but during the late game it just seems like a waste of time to use Q at all, especially since auto-attacks do more damage without the delay. During clustered team fights I think about using it sometimes, but then ... I just don't.

Piltover Peacmaker does little more than a good tickle late game. I've played Cait maybe 5 or 6 times now, and I'm still trying to figure out what the purpose of this ability is, unless it's meant to tickle my enemy to death. If it is the point, then the ability does exactly what it's supposed to do: it tickles.
