Am I wasting my Azir turrets?

What I have been tending to do recently with Azir is if i take a mid turret during lane I set up my passive and back or roam and just let the turret farm the next wave or so for me. Is that something I shouldn't be doing or is that fine?

I use it to push agressivly instead of randomly for 2 cs

The turret actually gets negative armor(takes more damage than it should if it had 0) when you are not around, which is why I always try to kill/drive away an Azir when he sets a turrent up to pressure us.

It can create a little more pressure, but it is better as a temporary base when pushing or as a last defence when retreating than as a minion that you leave to farm while you gank.

Are you wasting it? No, as long as it is working for you. But it is not the most optimal way to use it.

That's fine if you have a good opportunity to roam. I like to wait until we're team fighting and put one up, as a lot of times they don't notice and we'll die to it. Also allows for both teams trying to push a turret, instead of it being one sided. But there's no "right" way to do it, depends on your play style and how the game is going.

I think it really depends on how much cs the turret actually get's you. Like if it's getting you a decent amount and no one destroys it quickly then yeah. But I personally would, and do, put it up to cover me for when I push the tier 2 turret.

That's definitely what the turret is for. The enemy becomes incredibly constrained when mid lane is forced to be stuck between their outer and inner turret.

It gives the enemy 50 or 100g

A better use of it would be to save it for after you return to lane healthy then set it up and you can siege or gank side lanes.

If you're in base with that turret up it's not really impacting much

I only use it to give my team a slight edge when we're pushing the lane in a 5v5, to deter them from pushing back and potentially steamrolling us. It doesn't stay up very long when the other team is pushing it down .

It's honestly not that potent of a passive, would be a hell of a lot more useful if the HP decay on it wasn't so quick.

basically. the best use in the mid-late is to prevent flanking or have something to fall back on. It can also be used to get additional damage against a stronger opponent or even to prevent a gank
