Like Zoe stealing summoner spells for instance, I’ve seen people get angry when others say it should be replaced because they hate it when she gets double flash for example.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m open to unique gameplay but I have to agree that mechanics like that are a little too absurd

I think that Sylas and Zoe are not that unique because of their abilities. I like the concept that every characters has their own abilities (even if sometimes these abilities are kinda the same from champ to champ) and being unique in that way. Champs that take someone’s else abilities ruin this aspect of the game from my point of view.

My only issue with Zoe now is the potential to run double flash which doesn’t feel like the healthiest mechanic

Tormentula1 votesWell its understandable. Rappel is a cancer ability but if it got removed due to playerbase bias, I'd be foaming at the mouth because its what I got used to utilizing.
If you take a Zoe main's perspective, they've played around those kind of mechanics for a long time and its a lot of what they know, removing it to them is equilivant to removing a type of meat at subway so you can't buy the same sandwich combination again. They may also have a better understanding of the power budget it takes up or the importance of having it.
From other player's perspectives, is easier for us to see and hate something and wish we'd let go of it, like nobody who didn't get the imitation crab meat at subway will miss it, but those that did will, except in league is not so much we'll miss it but rather hate its existance and pray for it to go. That's when riot has to make a call; redesign something in a way that pleases everybody, or just take the bullet from that playerbase and listen to the majority.
