Yasuo's Sweeping Blade now COSTS flow rather than granting it
How balanced would he be?
Edit: I certainly didn't expect to get this much attention.

a bit more, if evrything he used costed flow tho
a bit more, if evrything he used costed flow tho
his Q should grant flow his W costs 100% of flow his E costs X flow his ulti reset flow
there it's balanced
sense isn't the goal of those changes.
Yasuo's damage shouldn't be gated by flow, tryndamere's damage aren't gated, so does all carry's damage (yi, gp's barrel no mana cost, ADC's AA). and that's why his Q doesn't cost flow
His mobility on the other hand, should be gated, have you laned against yasuo as sion? he dash everywhere, Q'ing, blocking your damage with his shield while you can't do anything and your spell costs mana. same in the middle lane. His E should be gated, and we should gate it by flow, that will give you the ability to stop his mobility if you damage him.
Now why his Q should gives flow? because else he would be unplayable. The flow already disappear if he takes damage, his windwall costs 100% of flow, he would just be a press Q champ while E/W are only casted 10% of the time. With his Q giving flow yasuo won't only be a burden of knowledge champion, but also a decision making champion. using his W in the right moment, same for his Q, rebuilding flow with his Q/moving to dash again or rebuild it with his ulti.
that's why those changes are needed
Change E to a flat cost and its good. Also what do you mean reset flow? Like fills it up?

yea like it does right now
and i agree with his E a % cost would be a big nerf
those changes are here to reward you, because if you damage yasuo, he won't be able to windwall or perma dash
But if he has his passive shield up you could just hit him with an autoattack and prevent him from using any defensive skills or closing distance... his passive would harm him for taking damage. What passive does that? xD

and that's why his Q grants flow, like 25% of his flaw or something and his ulti reset it. both of yasuo and his oppenent will have the possibility to outplay the other.
and don't act like 550 hp shield is nothing
I would think either remove the shield and grant him increased health and armor, as well as magic resist per level, OR change his passive shield to be something like:
(After Yasuo casts an ability, he gains a shield equal to X% of the Flow used for X seconds. If Yasuo uses all of his Flow in one ability, the duration of the shield is doubled.)
Then again with zyra, kogmaw, sion, and karthus.. you have to be dead to even use your passive XD Karthus is the best of all of these though and I actually find his passive good.
I feel like q and e should be switched, because it make more sense to grant flow from dashing than thrusting.
Nothing about current Yasuo makes sense, especially from a balanced standpoint.
Game mechanics pretty much demand that his primary damage tool not be gated by what would be a VERY limited resource with the suggested changes.
His third q doesn't not give him any extra damage and litterly only limits him to not be able to use it right after he presses his w. litterly stepping 3 units to the left would grant him more than enough flow to use it or even doing his e-q combo. the fact that you think his bull shit non mana resource is limited makes your whole argument seem half assed.

Not really. Not even close. Cause you clearly need to learn how to fucking read.

he actually said "his primar damage ability cannot be gated" and he is right, else he would be unplayable
Which his damage would not be gated. His ultimate would be a little bit more limited because he can't use it directly after he used windwall unless another ally has some way to knock them up for him. It just makes Yasuo players have to pay more attention and deceid every now and again if his windwall is more important or if they could get the knock up in time to ult and get a kill rather than you can't hit him as he q's, get the third proc, then knocks you up and kills you cause you can't do anything to him.

they already pay attention to A LOT of things if those Riot put those changes, they don't need more drawbacks.
Well if they have a limit and make Yasuo a little more skill based to just play, then they no longer have to have that 10% damage reduction that they had to put on him since he was doing way to much early game damage with the double crit chance.
What Zeus said. Percentage damage reductions affect scaling, not early presence. You don't have a clue what you are talking about.
Since Yasuo players move consistently anyway, i think it's fair.

I think these changes would be interesting, but one thing for sure is that his skill floor would raise up a LOT. New people w/ yasuo struggle as it is and it might make it quite a bit harder. Managing the flow definitely seems like its gonna be tough. Utilizing the E+Q is gonna be very important and playing aggressively might come at a cost.

so basically make him into an energy champ?
Well he is Ionian so it would be completely fine to do so and would limit some of the frustrating parts of his kit like endless mobility from Sweeping Blade.
It makes a lot of sense actually. He builds flow by moving and then uses the acquired wind energy for fast dashing around. Also he will have to choose between pure tankiness (shield) and avoidance. Love the idea.
Wow, I popped Yasuo's shield and instantly all in him since he has 0 flow and can't dash. EZ game, EZ life. Yasuo's flow is not a resource to be managed since he can lose it all instantly by taking a single auto attack. I know the Yasuo hate here is strong but this is ridiculous.
Actually I've been meaning to ask, why the heck does his shield get bigger if it pops after one hit?
What do you mean get bigger? It just activates if he takes damage when his flow is full. That's it. His flow literally does nothing until he has a full bar of it.
At higher levels it requires more flow to reach maximum. But it still pops with one hit.
You generate flow as a % of the total by moving, not at a flat rate. Currently, the rate for charging flow is 1% per 59/52/46 units moved at lvls 1,6,11.
Ok, so this is supposed to make his defense weaker as the game goes on? Since he'll need more steps to regain his shield the higher level he is?
His shield charges faster the later the game goes on, taking 5900 units moved from levels 1-6 and 4600 from lvl 11 onward. However, the strength of the shield does not scale up at nearly the same rate as the damage champions do, so it does effectively become less useful over time. Early on, Yasuo's shield is really strong and is why his early trading is so dominant if you don't pop the shield first. Later in the game, his shield only serves to make you a little bit harder to burst down after you ult in. An extra 100 health at lvl 1 is worth way, way more than an extra 510 health at lvl 18, for example.
Yasuo now uses mana. Fixed.
FEEL OUR LOSS OF MANA POTIONS

I actually did better with Anivia after the mana pots were removed.
TBH, I don't play Anivia but as a jungler considering she ALWAYS assumes blue is hers... I figured she probably got fked over. Playing Lux and Ryze made me feel the pain though.
Blue should most often go to her to allow her to waveclear like a fucking boss and harass her lane opponent much more freely.
Roughly the same reason any other mana-using mid laner wants blue. Give her her blue buff properly (if you're a jungler that can afford to do so, that is) and you'll have one of your favorite mid laners.
What does the loss of mana you get from potions have to do with you doing better at Anivia?
"I'm better at driving cars since the increase in gas prices"
I think it's more about the Early Mana Buff helps with some of her early problems managing mana. Anivia has always been a Mana Hog, so the early-game buff most mages got has helped put her in a better spot before her first completed mana item. Make sense?
It would need to be tweaked but i think he would be balanced. Will they do this? No never not in a million years, its no secret Riot loves Mobility above all other stats. I don't bash Riot often, in fact I support a lot of their changes, but when it comes to Mobility i can not stand behind them its just too strong compared to immobility.
gutted to unplayability. if someone decides to make an autoattack on you, you no longer have any mobility, or defense. i wonder which mage you main
riot has nerfed yasuo in the past for being tanky with the shield, without it, kassadin with no items can burst him.
Kassadin's base stats are way too low to even do 20% of Yasuo's HP pool with maxed flow.
if someone decides to make an autoattack on you, you no longer have any mobility, or defense.
So now you have to play safe despite your infinite dashes and 100% crit chance, god forbid!
gutted to unplayability.
yasuo still has its Q for every champ that tries to get close to him, a Q that does crit and then follows by an R and he stills has a W that protects him
Q would only be useful against melee's, R would require you to land a slow skillshot. If you get auto'd by ANYONE, you're useless. Just make him have 1 hp by your standards
the Q is 1200 range, more than the average long range spell, that is 800 to 1100, save some cases like
W or
and the R auto follows up, is the Q land R is auto aim
and again, he stills has W for protection
Just make his windwall consume all of his flight and have its duration based upon the percentage of max floor used
Thing is, Yasuo generates flow through movement.
Doesn't make a lot of sense for his mobility to negatively impact his flow generations.
If his W drained it, trading a shield for different type of shield, I could see that.

How balanced would he be?
Literally gutted in the ground.
Vs range shield popped with auto can't dash.
Vs Melee flow used to dash so he doesn't have the shield for trades.
Pffhahahaha, as if he'd need a shield after 3-shotting his opponent.
And this is why I can't take the anti-yasou base seriously.
What champion are you playing that he can ever 3 shot people in laning phase as.
Because this guts his laning phase.
You just spout non-sense because you don't like him as a champion.

You asked, I provided. What I can't provide you, is skill. Sorry D:
Funny how most of the champs you provided are the ones that can 3-shot him, not the contrary.
