Confirmation: % Armor pen in ferocity is only BONUS % amor pen

I can totally state this as true, but Im having a debate with another player, so a confirmation will be good, as I have understood, since 6.0 all the % armor pen only penetrates BONUS armor.

Last Whisper, Lord Dominik's Regards and Mortal Reminder penetrate bonus armor and they state that explicitly.

If it doesn't specifically state it penetrates bonus armor, then it penetrates total armor. For example, Darius' E passive.

In short, the mastery penetrates total armor.

Hmmm interesting, but as I have it, they increased the % armor pen in GP barrels because they changed how that mechanic works all over the game, so that now I am confused, I feel I need the answer of a Rioter xD.

Gangplank's barrels have always penetrated total armor. In addition, they have only reduced the percentage of the armor penetration since he was reworked.

You seem to misunderstand what happened during the preseason. Last Whisper and its upgrades were changed from total armor penetration to bonus armor penetration; those were the only items changed (and no abilities were changed from total to bonus armor penetration).

Nope man, read the patches, they INCREASED the % armor pen in GP barrels because it now only penetrates bonus armor, they stated it in the patch, you can even see that Last Whisper and the %armor pen mastery grant the same stat on the champ "C", flat pen/ % Armor pen.

If they have actually changed it to bonus armor, then neither the wiki or Riot's official champion pages have been updated. Considering the in-game description matches the one from GameInfo, it's pretty safe to say that it still penetrates total armor.

Both total and bonus armor penetration appearing in the same stat column is either an oversight, laziness, or an inability to think of a better method. They are still different types of armor penetration.

I think you are right, I have to test it in game anyways, because I find it weird, I swear I saw those changes on the patch notes somewere.
