@RIOT: we need an special slot for pink wards!

What we need is a special slot of a very different type. Completely outside of item list. Actually, completely outside the game itself.

And than we lock in it.

How about every consumable as well. There could be a trinket slot and a consumable slot.

Meh. It would be nice but 99% of my matches never make it to the point where I need this

I think there should be a ward option that lets you place pinks (like the old ward upgrade), but not a new slot entirely

Why? So you'll have another item slot you never use? The real problem is that Riot expects players to be six-slotted too quickly and balances based on that.

Good way to encourage people to buy pinks.

I mean, warding is everyone's job.

I mean they could take the smite approach and make potions and wards take up their own personal slot and not your actual item inventory but you know
