This shit is legit everywhere currently and it is annoying to deal with a one shot assassins from range on an AoE on low cooldown. He remain fairly tanky and his kit is near oppressive if not abusive. I think it's time to gut the AP versions of malphite and make his tank one more viable.. It's annoying to get one shot as soon he appear on the screen because hey... if you don't have flash or inhuman reflex, you are dead.
He needs a nerf for sure. A tank isn't supposed to be played as AP assassin. While you're at it, nerf every tank's ratios.
Stop playin Ad into him then, or play Ad that doesn’t give a fuck about his semi tankiness like Illaoi

Part of his kits issue is he is not a very good tank most tanks have spammable heals or shields he has a out of combat shield even with the extra armor most tanks can tank more then him vs ad champs .This is mostly why he has become an assassin riot does not want to give him heals or shields like most tanks where there spammable like mundo ult or how shen has an auto attack blocker and shields but really look at most tanks then look at malphite the only buffs he gets are ratio buffs to damage .

The problem is that going full AP barely makes him viable. Okay, lets imagine riot guts his damage....what else is he good for? Good TF ult? Wow cool, there are several tanks with good TF ults who also have more things going on for them than malph has. In short, without his dmg there are champs who are doing the same thing as malph but better.
Plus, this meta doesnt favor tanks that much. So it's much better to go full Ap than full tank.
definitly agree with you that those 1 shots and insane q pokes should get fixed.
Add 
to the mix. Dude can naturally go 3k HP with nothing but AP builds, and still one-shots anyone in range.
