Get S and Still can't Climb (Feeders, Throwers, afk, etc...)

So I consistently get S rank, carry my ass off in games and I am still stuck in this silver hell hole. There's nothing I can do about it. My team threw when I told them not to - enemy team was dead, open inhib with 10 seconds on spawn timers. Our team gets the inhib, then I type in chat: "Can't end, they up in 10 sec" and my team stays and fights and dies to their full health, newly acquired items team. And they disregard the fact that I am their damage (because I'm fed af). Then we lose because that was baron for them. It didn't matter that I communicated and carried both mechanically and strategically, the people in silver are just that bad. Don't believe me? Take it from a Diamond player: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/n3f5kn7V-as-a-diamond-silver-elo-is-surprisingly-hard

Silver is actually the worst thing I have ever experienced in a video game. Period. I feel like there needs to be a teir for unranked, for those that fall that far beneath the curve because too many of them fall into bronze and silver. My gameplay is far above average and yet I get retard central on my teams constantly. Anyways I'm done with my rant, I don't mean to sound childish, but i've been playing LoL for about 5 years and i used to be gold teir. I've been out of silver before but I can't climb out anymore because of the amount of unskilled players. (here come the "if you're in silver you must belong there" trolls, if that were true the link above would not have 1000 upvotes on it)

I feel you bro, the same here. But I must say I love posts like this. I've seen a lot similar on EUNE and people here and there are so different. Here you will hear "you will climb", "I feel you" , "it's true, but..." and on EUNE it's like "you can't carry in silver. git gut scrub" "you are where you belong noob"

I feel like all of it is true, but what I'm thinking is that you're getting unlucky. I'm not trying to disreguard your opinions or anything, I definitely have your teammates. I've had vayne supports, the most boosted mastery 7 riven mains you've ever seen, but at the same time get the most godlike supports that carry my ass to the nexus and a 10/0 pantheon screwing my adc I just fed. It goes both ways, and it's probable it does for you too. I just want you to remember a few things, it's helping my boosted self out of silver far faster than last season. Last season I peaked at s3 and dropped to s4, this season I'm at s3 6 months faster with half the games.

-Stay calm. If you find yourself moderately tilted or more for any reason, stop playing ranked. When I'm tilted, I get greedy, I stop caring, and I lose games I could have won if I just played safe, farmed, and worked together with my team.

-The best play isn't always the right play. Or, (taken from a reddit post, props to tankmanlol) "If the light turned green but the car in front of you didn't move, you wouldn't start driving." If you're team isn't listening to you, it's probably best to listen to your team and play around them instead. if 4 teammates go to tower even if baron is clearly the better choice, go to tower with them anyways. that one is fairly common tip.

-Don't blame your teammates, criticize them. It's much better to say, "fiora play safe under tower and wait till lee ganks you" instead of "fiora stop feeding" Your fiora isn't feeding on purpose, so she doesn't need you to tell her to stop feeding. she needs you to tell her what to do. And don't say it in a condescending manner, or she's just not gonna listen.

-If you get support, play a support. Don't be one of those people that try to "shaco support" or "yasuo support". It's not gonna work and your adc's not gonna appreciate it. And definitely don't say "well if I had mid...__". Learn at least ONE support. It can be lux, morgana, just something that can support.

-Pay attention to the entire enemy teams composition. Just because you counter ____ as katarina doesn't mean you can play against the nautilus support, sej jungle, and malphite top. You can even check with your team, some aren't paying attention. "are you sure you can play your vayne into rammus?"

I really hope this helps.

Edit: I've found that grading is heavily based on farm a lot. I've had 400 farm at 40 minutes even though I've done absolutely nothing to help my team and gotten an S+ because of it. Or I got an S simply because I was support lux taking all the adc's kills. Don't use your grade as an indicator of how much you're doing in the game too much.

but I can't climb out anymore because of the amount of unskilled players.

Sorry, but to be honnest there are unskilled players in both teams, and if you are not unskilled, you are more likely to meet unskilled players in the other team.

This being said, and also comming from a diam player, most people in silver are surprisingly good at playing when they are ahead. And awfull at playing when they are behind.

When, in diam, after giving one or two kills most people (i say most because as always there are exceptions and it's not this rare to see a 1/14 toplaner), will hug their tower and play way safer, most of the time in silver i can happily crushing my lane and my opponent again and again because he overextends.

Yet, yes you have to hard carry if you want to climb FAST (which is what you want when you are smurfing). I started playing supportive supports but it was frustrating. Yes i was climbing, but at a low rate, ~ 60% winrate. If you play tresh and throw perfects lantern but noone clics on them, you are not more usefull than a tresh who do not throw lanterns at all.

When i switched up to my diamonds mains champions i had a 80%-90% winrate until low gold. In low diamond I saw accounts with 49-1 records : 98% winrate (the 2 i saw were either otp rengar, or otp yasuo).

So climbing is definitely possible. If you hard carry. Hard carrying in silver is crushing the lane for 15+ kills. Hard carrying in diam would be just Crushing the lane for 3+ kills deying some farm and helping to crush another lane for example.
