Season 6 Ranking System is Unfair and Punishes Good Players

So, I have been playing League for about 4 years now. I started in Bronze II and through the years worked my way up to Gold V. Great. So I play my placements, go 6/10, and get placed in Silver 5..... SILVER 5! I haven't been placed this low in 2 1/2 years. And plus, I WON the majority of my games. I did a little research and apparently I'm not alone. People are getting bumped down 5 and 6 tiers from their previous rankings everywhere. How does this reward good players? ANSWER: It doesn't. It makes people want to stop playing ranked all together. I worked hard to get myself to where I am, years even, and because I did okay in my placements I'm getting punished for it? That's not fair. Especially considering some games there are trolls and dc's which go into the equation a well. In previous years I did just as well or better and got knocked down maybe 2 tiers at best. I can deal with that. What I can't deal with is the fact that Riot now thinks Gold V players are now only worthy of being Silver V (that's one away from Bronze mind you). I feel that I and many other players deserve something for this outrage and hope Riot will consider what they've done to ruin the ranking system. I'm better than a Bronze I/ Silver V. Can I carry myself? Maybe, but considering that a bunch of other previously Gold V players are now right where I am, it feels like I'm still in Gold V. It's just ridiculous.

if you think you need to be placed higher climb the ladder. Seriously. you get like 25+ LP a game(least i do) and i only dropped 4 spots going 5/5 (plat 2 to gold 1) and am already back to plat 5.

I've already surpassed my end of season rank on both my accounts since the season started. If you deserve to climb, then you will climb. And rapidly.

I got back to plat within 2 weeks after dropping an entire tier (ended s5 as plat 1, started s6 as gold 2).

The biggest issue only really lies in high bronze-low silver. A good chunk of gold level players dropped down to silver and silver players dropped down into bronze. Bronze and Silver are such massive mixed bags of player skill levels between Gold and Bronze its mostly down to RNG on how your matches are going to play out.

I don't even understand how some of these guys make the mistakes that they do. I've seen players getting not only beat, but completely camped by the heroes they counter picked. I have NEVER seen the amount of AFKs and leavers than I have right now. In seasons 4 and 5 I saw one maybe once or twice in a MONTH when I was playing at Silver 1 or 2, now, I've seen 5 or 6 in just a single week. The inconsistency right now is so much worse than its ever been, and silver has always been known to be extremely inconsistent. I can't rally my team together like I used to in season 5, so many get the mind set once the enemy is ahead by a handful of kills, its over, the reverse is also true for the enemy team. I've won a few games where I decimated top lane so hard, the ADC on the enemy team is calling GG and you can tell immediately the whole team starts tilting.

Where you're playing right now is such a mess, I'd honestly suggest you wait a few weeks before you jump in and try to climb. Sure, you might win your share, but it's not going to be without some serious stress. In my own case, my head is pounding after the climb day that I've had. Just relax, play a smurf, some normals, some Blade and Soul, or something and just wait. It'll be so much better for you in the long run than trudging though the Tri-Ranked Area that is Silver 5.
