Has anyone else noticed that the support 'catchup' experience seems to be back to where it was before the support rework? I mean, when I am seeing supports on both sides sitting anywhere from 2 to 4 levels behind everyone else (even when the opposing support had a low warding rate), it tells you that something is really wrong.
Not sure if this was the consequence of the Runes Reforged revamp - but it's not making support play fun when you are turned into a 300 coin minion.

Lovely. And good to know. And note that I pointed out that the other supports have had low warding rates and are still 2-3 levels behind despite that.
But, going back over the games over the past few days, it seems that even sitting in lane, the catchup experience is pretty bad unless one starts taking minions.

BlueBilberry1 votesI saw that - and I think, now that you bring it up, it might be having a "trickle over" effect for supports. If the jungler starts falling behind on his/her farm (say they decided to start doing lots of roams and ganks) then I strongly suspect that the ability of a support to catch up will be reduced because the jungler will start eating into the "catch-up" experience that the support would normally tap into. If so, then supports are now hostages of their jungler's ability.
SnakDatSmilesBak1 votesI like it to be honest. It means roaming is much more risky. Earlier I could just sit in a side bush for almost a minute while waiting for a gank opportunity. Now if i try that I better make it worth the time since ill be down lots of xp.
