Blind pick is total crap; and it's partly Riots Fault.

I usually play draft or ranked but I am not going to play ranked with a champ I don't know well. Its not fair to my team mates. So I figure Blind doesnt hurt anyone and you dont have to worry about the champ you are learning get banned. Big Mistake!

No one cares about playing the game to win or playing a proper champ in their lane. They will play Garen support, Ashe Jungle, whatever. The general rule seems to be "I want to play this champ and I don't give a crap what lane I get." They Will double up lanes because no one wants to play jungle, they will not have support because people don't want to play it.

This is mostly the fault of annoying players. But the reality is it is partly Riot's fault. The main reason is the entire focus of this game is on carrys. It has been said in many threads that I have posted about low ELO ranking that if you want to get better in ELO you have to carry the team. In fact that is why i was back to blind, to learn a carry, and stop jungling. But what a stupid experience that was.

Yeah I know ... vote down .. you suck .. riot is god. Meh. Now I am definitely pessimistic about this game. Flame on! I have given up caring about flames so have fun.

Until blind pick is implemented in ranked (something I'd heavily look forward to seeing if only because then perhaps it'd stop all the autofill hatred), noone will really care about it as you gain nothing from winning or losing that mode.

Why not play draft pick with someone new then? You can easily win the game with an engage tank. Teamfights are usually won off of who has the better engage.

You don't need to learn a carry to get out of Low ELO. Whoever said that to you doesn't understand the depth of strategy in League of Legends.

I climbed out of Bronze 3 up to Gold 5 with pretty much Full Tank ZZ'rot Garen. Two times. Then I did it again from Silver 5 to Gold 5 with Sona support, and not by using the stupid Lichbane/Luden's cheese build, playing like a real Support.

Key points to climb up: be consistent, watch your map and, most importantly, choose your fights properly. You don't need to outplay your opponents, you just need to fight them only if you have an advantage. I can go into more details, but really, that's the gist of it, and that should life you up at least to mid-Silver (which is the median MMR of the Ranked player base).

Now, to the issue you were talking about Blind Pick, yeah, it's not good for Ranked training. Just play in Normal Draft.
