Yasuo's Passive is what makes him Overpowered

You are against Yasuo, you don't want to feed him so you stay back taking what CS you can get under the tower. Meanwhile Yasuo farms with impunity. If you poke him he doesn't care, all he has to do is move to generate overshield of significant power. He also has double critical strike chance from his passive so he is an assassin. So if you venture out to engage him to trade, he wrecks you like any assasin can. Ranged wont matter, Jinx is not a counter. If she is close enough to hit yas, he is close enough to zoom in and destroy her like any assasin would do. So comes level 3, yasuo gets Phantom dancer. Now his trit chance just went up to 60% per auotattack and the item grants him attack speed at 45% bonus as well. So he is hitting twice as fast and has at least an above 60% critical attack chance at level 3 or 4 and with another brawler's gloved to build statik shiv he now has an 80% chance to critical trike WITH an overshield built in. He didnt have to buy bloodthirster or another item to get it, he gets it by just moving. What is more, the shield never decays.

Yasuo: Classification: Hybrid Tank and Assassin.

He has all the death dealing power of Alkalai with all of the tankign power of a mid range melee champ like riven. At level 6 he can 1v5 your whole team and come out with 4 or sometimes even 5 kills. You cant melt through his HP unliess yo ucan keep him permanently rooted and stunned and then with Phantom dancer he can move through all of you and just run away if he gets low, though Yas rarely does because he can just waste 3 or 4 of your entire team and then if he dies, no biggie because he traded 3 or 4 v 1.

Solution: Riot needs to decide if Yasuo is a tank or assassin. His passive should either be the critical chance or the shield but definitely not both. Yes, I know the Yasuo mains will vote this down and flame me but the Ban numbers don't lie, the KD ratios don't lie. Currently the only way to shutdown Yasuo is to hope they are a bad Yasuo player or simply dont even contest the lane, just abandon the lane.

Hear that Riot? You need to decide if Yasuo is a tank or not.

Especially when 90% of crowd control abilities are skill shots. You can't "land" a stun on Yasuo unless it's Ryze's W, Malzahar's R, or Tahm Kench's W. Then again, Yasuo can build item 3140 and be perfectly safe since he has 2 extra item slots with 100% crit.

So comes level 3, yasuo gets Phantom dancer.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Not assassin, duelist

Actually it's not his passive that makes him op it's just that you should get literally one source of cc on your team and murder him

Kraythax1 votes

As people pointed out hitting Yasuo with CC is very hard with the speed of his E. So only AE CC will work and with his shield he will tank the damage, come out of CC and wreck you. Now if you are saying you need 3 or 4 people to CC him and kill him then you just proved my point.

And thats your problem.

Youre so scared you won't even fight him properly.

Yasuo's level 2 is very strong, but his 1, 3-5 are really weak. Youre supposed to abuse him BEFORE he gets hit first item power spike, when he actually gets to take advantage of his passive.

Doesn't matter if you fight him or not he still comes back and deletes your carries due to frozen mallet and randuins

Durzaka1 votes

Thats irrelevant.

First, Yasuo's highest win rate (and pick rate) builds don't include either frozen mallet or randuins anymore. That is old news (although mallet CAN be good, it is not very popular).

The point of what I said, and what OP said was that he played passive. Against a champion that hyper scales, and has massive fucking power spikes at 1 and 2 items. So he gave up the best possible advantage he had, because he was stupid scared.

No thats not it. His Q still does hella damage level 1 and has a long range and pierces through all targets. So minion blocking isnt a valid tactic. At level 1 only thing you can do is try to farm. If you close and engage him you just take his shield, he backs off, regens the shield and comes and wrecks you. Yas power spikes as levels 1 through 18. I SUCK at playing yas, got off only one good ult ever but I was still able to jump into their tower at level 4, decimate them and get out for one of my 2 kills.

Durzaka2 votes

Im sorry, but no.

If youre dying to a level 1 yasuo, youre trash.

There is no reason he should be hitting you with Q at level 1 unless you are melee. His level 2 can be very deadly. But once you have all 3 abilities, you shouldnt be getting out traded.

If Yasuo was as strong as you clearly think he is, he wouldnt have a sub 50% win rate at the higher tier of the game.

Funny, you got off one good ult off, and somehow turret dove them at level 4. That totally makes sense. If a yasuo can turret dive ANYONE at level 4, that person is completely braindead, not Yasuo being good.

EDIT: There are so many fallacies in your comment here it is actually hilarious. He backs off when you pop his shield? Guess what, you just fucking won that trade if he didnt hit you back. His shield at level 1 without minions to spam dash on takes a significant time to recharge. Thats time he cant CS, and an advantage that you get.

Youre so dense and set on just hating Yasuo and thinking he is overpowered that you won't even stop and consider for a moment that you are just doing it wrong.

Kraythax1 votes

Well apparently I and everyone in the game is doing it wrong because his KD ratio is always obscene and he is the single most banned player in ranked or draft. I never pretended to be LCS or gold. But I know what I see.

Yas has a 19% ban rate right now in Plat+. And he is currently averaging a 46% win rate when played mid.

Just to put it in perspective, Zac has 104% ban rate right now. And Kassadin has a 78% ban rate.

yasuo is barely a blip on the radar in the higher tier of play. Because people learn how to fight against him.

Argue all you want. The stats dont support you unless you look at Bronze, which you shouldnt be for balancing.

Kraythax1 votes

OK, that's fine. I am willing to say that I don't know how to handle him but apparently no one in bronze does either. So ... how do you handle him. How do you stop him from wrecking you under the tower. I get lots of people telling me how stupid I am and very few offering any useful suggestions. Usually the only "suggestion" they offer is "play better" or "you suck" which is not useful at all and not a suggestion, just an insult.

Also shouldnt be able to hold his q charge for as long as he can. If TF can get nerfed for holding his cards why can't yasuo?

I don't know if satire or what -_-

He's not overpowered at all honestly. He's just incredibly frustrating to play against because of his W.
