Made it to Silver 1 for the 6th time

How long before the loss streak starts? I immediately quit the second I got a loss this morning. The games feel very one sided still, but I'm getting more even games where anything can happen I'm noticing. Am I getting to a point where I'm in the elo I belong? I'm a nervous wreck. I just want to see Gold for the first time. I want to earn it. I'm not sure I can handle this. Halp. [sg-janna]

Everyone struggles in silver. I struggle there every season. Keep at it! And remember to stop when you get to gold4 0lp.

Looks like you play fine, time and luck are your wall to climb. Not a lot to do about those things.

But the pros aren't hit by luck in that they can carry 1v9 with Yuumi jungle if they wanted. And time? People steam roll to Plat in a week. :-\

You don't think that a high level of play individual might just have a little more of that special something than you? If you play well at your level you'll climb eventually.

op gg ur entire champ select and dodge if there are more than 2 autofills. This way, you will have positive coinflip and get to an elo where you may not even deserve

the title of this post reminded me of my friend, lmao.

I had to bounce between Silver 3 and Silver 2 over a dozen times before I saw Gold this season on NA. Keep going.

I'm already feeling the hard stuck setting back in. I win a blow out, then get blown out. It's maddening.

Hey, that's SoloQ. If your own play is consistent, you will climb no matter what happens.

Silver is just a very coinflippy elo in general. There’s such a massive skill gap between individual players that I find whenever I play there, the games are usually decided by which team has the biggest ape. If you genuinely belong in gold, just keep playing. The games will be one-sided, win or lose, but that doesn’t mean you’re done climbing if you’re still winning games.

I been winning alot lately. I've been playing the exact same champs that I know, trying to build for what the team needs, ward, farm, everything I can think of. I just don't want to go all the way back down to Silver 4 AGAIN. That will be the 7th time this year.

If hit G4 Promos 3 times this season. About 15 times last season.
Constant afker/complete trolls and Enemy smurfs make MMing total garbage.

When I can constantly climb back to the Promos but Riot stacks my teams with shit its the system.

MMing Rubber banding is a thing.

Take note of the times and dates of the week you get inted/afked/smurfed on. Those people have a schedule. Took me 2 weeks to level this account from Scratch from Iron II to Gold IV playing only support and jungle. That one game that broke me from my loss spree was a 3/7 singed that afked at 15 mins and we won 4v5 carrying from the jungle with our midlaner that i put all my marbles on during laning. Before the streak started I played like 10+ games daily for those 2 weeks and my winrate on a singular champ was 80+% over 30 games(pre-nerf) yuumi and I even got a quadrakill on her somewhere in silver I-ish. If you play too much, win too consistently, lose in a chain etc. You will be put in a loss spree queue for smurfs. This is riot’s piss poor way of dealing with boosters. The idea is to have them fit with other waste products of solo Q until you manage to pull through and win a game in the rigged loss pool, as a support and jungle player this is exceedingly difficult and changed my entire champion pool from supportive enchanters to damage dealing mage supports and hook engagers. Don’t be afraid to take a break and come back in with a vengeance. Im going to let this account stabilize post-preseason before i start my climb to plat on this acc.

If you need champ recommendations for those 2 roles ‘d be more than happy to help

Yes please. I'm pretty much exclusively a jungle main that flexes top on occasion. I have been a support main previously so jungle and support are what I consider my strongest roles. I picked up mage supports a year ago and didn't look back for that role lol.

I'd definitely recommend JarvanIV , Evelynn , Hecarim ,Karthus ,Khazix . people would usually tend to tell you to play things like Nunu ,Zac ,Amumu or even Sejuani (pre nerf). but I really disagree, especially if we are ranking up pre gold. by playing supportive tanky junglers, youre usually opening yourself up to two big weaknesses, the enemy will definitely A) try to invade you B) choose something like a predator jungler to outgank you since you need time to come online C)snowball with volatile 1-trick champs likeEkko Khazix Kayn Udyr even Twitch . outside of this, even if you do survive, its super hard sub gold to have your team listen to your calls, prep for Baron/Dragon, drop a ward to check for you when on the other side of the map, and so I deem mobility and map presence KING in silver, that's where things like my favourite go-to champions come in, Hecarim 's insane speed, map coverage, clear speed, counterganking power, dive potential, and how easy it is to slip into the enemy's jungle when they show up to put a control ward down, Karthus for his relatively easy clear and constant pressure since during laning his global ult is more than enough to cover for his lack of mobility, one thing to be careful of is assasin junglers, which melt his face and can camp him in his own jungle. Kayn , some may say kayn is feast or famine. but with a godly clearspeed, unparalleled mobility, amazing scaling given you take red kayn, its no wonder I main this champion, he's good in every scenario and you can completely bypass wards to gank the enemy even if they take the slightest misstep. he can also take 1-2 camps easily when the enemy jungler shows on the other side of the map and get out for free, not to mention his built in hourglass. lastly,JarvanIV. this champion is the most versatile one you can play next to the others I just mentioned, second only to Kayn , who can literally change forms. he can build full tank cinderhulk when behind, he has amazing cc, amazing counterganks, amazing early gank potential similar to kayn and hecarim, as well as great snowball potential if you are confident and go item 1400 into item 3071 , his mobility allows you to easily take enemy camps, contest scuttlecrab and escape when need to be save your lead, so going the warrior dmg route isn't as risky since you can easily hold on to the gold on your head, same can be said for kayn, which becomes a 1v3 1v5 monster later on. a tip for Hecarim I want you to take away is to take predator almost every game and only go conqueror if you KNOW the game is going to go late. get a chilling smite and don't finish it until you have enough gold to get item 1401 after your item 3078 . it is absolutely crucial to rush this item on hecarim. and most importantly, and trust me on this one, take summoner 11 summoner 14 on him. there is next to no penalty since hecarim has his ult and E for escapes and it makes your ganks almost 100% lethal when you choose to do them. try it out on a norms game and I garuntee you wont regret it, you can check my Match History for the performance on that build. I'd recommend those since your dueling potential is fantastic on them and you can gank efficiently, farm efficiently and be that scary jungler who's everywhere at once while able to not die and demoralize them enough for them to ff before 25 mins. nothing makes them more salty than wasting flash and dying to a predator Hecarim taking summoner 14 I'd highly recommend those and Khazix if you know how to play him, they will net you the best results, also ban kha every game if you don't want to/don't know how to play him. also pick Rammus every time a MasterYi is picked. as long as he is alone you can be 1 item down with item 3076 and still beat him in 1v1. unless you run into one of those funnel strat boosters who are so common in silver. For supports I highly recommend Bard if you think youre up for it, I climbed with this guy in conjunction with pre-nerf yuumi and my wr was about 80% over 25 games until they hit me with my own Loss spree. for now support as a role for me is highly undesirable since we have to make like 4 bans on hook supports every game. I'd have to recommend Blitzcrank Pyke Nautilus reluctantly, mostly the first two, since they are so overtuned and have a 53-55% WR overall and reached a 80%+ banrate worldwide, if they slip through the ban phase be sure to pick those up but I'd advise against playing support in general and just to focus bot when they have hooks down there from the jungle. otherwise Zyra, aftershockLux , and even Taric are good options, taric only if you know the adc is good. and if they pick that new fangled "OP" Swain support, try picking Volibear against it, they would wish they were never born, volibear's heavy engage and cc hard counter swain's "Nevermove" since he would already on the master tactician before the claw could come back. with the huge damage from you and your adc slapping ignite on him will turn him into a nice roast pheasant. I notice I've elaborated on way less on supports but that's cuz I saw that youre understandably into Jungling now since support is so lackluster of a role. if you still want info on the champs you can ask! bard isn't a troll pick at all if you've seen him played to his max potential good luck out there and remember to stop playing and let the rank stabilize in pre-season once you get to gold! It seems to me this is exactly what happens. I down a bunch of coffee, play choose to perfect games, obliterate everything, then all of a sudden I get the worst teammates you've ever seen, 30% win rates, insane non meta champ-role combos, etc. Is there somewhere that this is discussed further or just your theory?

this Loss spree is more of a piece of unspoken common knowledge for the streaming, boosting and smurfing communities, streamers because they play enough to be recognized by the algorithm, boosters because of their huge winrate, triggering the algorithm once the account is returned after the huge difference in KDA, Kill Participation and Win%. And finally, the smurfing community, who have a high enough winrate to be suspected.

What I can generalize for you is as follows: If you: Play enough games over a period of time, say 10 games per day over a period. OR win a chain of stellar games and then lose a few in a row. OR Switch roles and have a drastic difference in KDA over a period(this is less likely to trigger the algorithm than the other two), then you are likely going to be put on a loss spree queue.

How the loss spree queue functions is generally that you are placed in a pedestal where you have other "suspecteds" on your team, typically in the form of another smurf somewhere, and a few apes you need to carry. the system takes you for a higher tier player and matchmakes for you as such. if youre climbing fast in silver III they might suddenly let you skip to Silver I, but place silver IVs on your team while you face Gold IIs and IIIs. it wasn't uncommon for me when leveling, its just how the system is. and the purpose is to stall progress or have you "prove yourself" to the system, if you keep losing, you keep losing mmr and will soon be stuck permanently in MMR limbo until you reach a low enough elo where you get stalled and bounce back. it is until you Win a game in these loss spree queues that you break the streak and o back. Most of the time you get paired up against golds who are borderline demotion to a lower division or to silver, allowing them to keep their MMR.

**I had to hard carry a game with a 3/7 singed that left 15 mins in as AD jarvan with my smurf yasuo mid to carry the other two silve IVs playing ezreal-shaco bot to break out of the spree queue so don't feel discouraged if you feel like the challenge before you seems insurmountable, the system might pair you with some plat smurf trying to break out of limbo L spree queues too. **

Ways to remedy this can vary from person to person, but I find taking a hiatus, up to a week long can be one of the best solutions to slip out of the system, change up your playing schedule and hope you don't run into the same guys as last loss, and to take a break when you start losing in a chain(2-3).

To learn more about this, I'd say you could look up this phenomenon online, just google "LoL loss spree queue" and you'll be sure to find some results from all sorts of people, smurfs, reddit booster pages, streamers venting on twitter (like hashinshin) etc. Riot has never spoken on this officially and it remains a relatively obscure ranked "Iron curtain" that separates silver and below from gold, but this also exists in higher elo to decay boosted players down to a reasonable place.

I literally got AIDS reading all the nonsense conspiracy theories in this thread. Amazing all the shit people just make up to explain why they're losing games. I hate feeders, trolls and shitheads just as much as the next guy and I do think there are way too many of them in SoloQ but to think that Riot deliberately places you with these people to force losses on you? Come on now. Get real.
