Why is Ryze considered a mechanically difficult champ?

I don't see what is so difficult. Maybe it's just that I'm in low elo and players don't know how to play against him? Anyway if you'd ask me I'd say that Lee is mechanically a lot more difficult than Ryze(as funny as it might sound, I suck real hard playing Lee Sin. I'm not the one bruiser Lee Sin who will easily blow enemy targets up with a simple QRQ or RQQ or smthing like that. Ryze even seems easy to play compared to him imo). Again, just my opinion.(that Ryze is way much easier than Lee Sin)

Accidentally casting one of your spells in the wrong order significantly reduces your power on Ryze, and given how fast you're churning those things out, miscasting one is pretty damn likely. Couple that with the fact that Ryze is constantly changing direction as a short ranged mage and he comes out as far more difficult than one might expect.

This. I get where OP is coming from - it seems that ryze is just button mashing and hoping that your q gets through minion block and stuff. But Ryze is more than just button mashing: he is button mashing In the right order

He isnt. it's just the Ryze abusers talking. E W Q E Q bam a burst combo that gives you a shield/mov speed while the enemy wont even move. He never runs out of mana after getting 2 cheap items and he also has the dmg to oneshot you with said cheap items. Anyone saying Ryze is a hard champ is delusional.Biggest part of his low winrate imo is poor ulti management. Go watch IWD's Last video watching his RyZe teleport into fed people and die consistently almost making them lose a FREE game. Ryze takes as much skill as Caitlyn. Aka close to 0.

Here, let me lay some knowledge on you.

Ryze is a poor teamfighter due to the range of his spells. Poke him in teamfights.

Never 1v1 him. He is a mage 1v1 master. Outnumber him so his spells can't work off each other.

Follow these steps and you will hit challenjour.

Idc tbh i just dodge once he is picked. Same with Jayce. Ik you should not 1v1 him but still his general gameplay is braindead and rather safe considering he gains insane amounts of movement and shields to make up for his range.

But... You play kha... And you're diamond...

no good sir. i dont deal with ryze and jayce. everyone has their buttons . those 2 are mine

In other words - body block his Q's when he's trying to oneshot your squishies.

You are so wrong. Ryze have shit win rate in low ello but is onw of the best midlaners in highs. In competitive is the second mosta ban champ of all time. The problem with Ryze is: play Ryze good is easy. Play perfect Ryze is so fucking imposible and thats the reasons cuz the best players destroy with ryze, is so extreme dificullt to play at that level.

Ryze is no too hard to play well, but can be one of the most dificult champ to play in his highest skill. PD. I don t have a fuckin idea of english sorry if you dont understand me XD

It is significantly harder trying to play Ryze when there is more than one person trying to hit you.

when outnumbered then yes, but mostly in teamfights not so much imo.

it's mostly for how many combos has for different situations

I'd say it's more that no matter what combo he does, it's still useful. Trying to burst someone but accidently extended snare them instead? It's ok, now you got a shield and movespeed to run away so you don't die from your fuck up.

The thing is, the snare + shield combo is by far the easiest, and there's never a situation where it'll get you killed. Sure you might not get the kill which you would've gotten with the right combo, but you still do a chunk of damage and you get out free.

Which you'll learn to use after a few games?

Poske1 votes

He has around 10 core combos And an insane mindgame on ultimate

If you learnt how to use his combos properly you should be nowhere near low elo

Ryze mains are challs

He used to be before the last rework, now he is very easy to play.

Yes, it is because you're low elo. Ryze is one of the harder champs to play well consistently. Knowing what he does =/= you's a mastah.

Most of the people here saying he's not difficult are not actually Ryze mains. I started playing him when I was level 7 or something 4 years ago because Faker plays him and I just really like this champion. I reached gold the summer after high school and now I have over 500 games on Ryze and I'm pretty much a Ryze one trick. There's so much to his kit I feel like there are tricks and playstyles I still don't know even today. There are so many ways to set up his combos and there's so much depth to them and they require a lot of experience on Ryze to execute. One example is his eq. Most noobs just spam qeq onto an enemy, like they use their q right after e and wait for another e to come up. What I found out is that if you e an enemy and be patient and don't use your q, wait for your next e to come up, then use the combo, it does a lot more damage and they don't expect that much damage from you
