@RIOT: You really want to go live with these jungle items?

Cause seriously, as long as you keep the Devourer Upgrade the way it is, you basicly make every jungler who is not an autoatack champ a trollpick.

For those who dont know: Devourer is the upgrade that resembles Feral Flare, just that you can get it by 10 minutes and without needing to stack up 30 Camp kills before. It costs 2250 gold and gives you 50% Attack speed and 40 magic damage on hit, no cooldown on the effect. For every big jungle monster, the damage is increased by 1, champion kills or Assists give you +2. Permanently. No limit.

Seriously, who looked at this and said "Yeah, its fine that way"?

Devourer upgrade is both more expensive and weaker than current Feral Flare - it costs 600 gold more, lacks the AD part of the item, has a weaker build path (no power spiking intermediary items), and doesn't do triple damage to monsters and minions.

This. The lack of triple damage to monsters and minions is a HUGE nerf compared to current flare, no longer will junglers be able to solo dragon at ~8 minutes.

That's true but it's not the reason why, no jungler had a ff at 8 mins, udyr/yi/nocture/ww DID have a madreds or in some cases a madreds/spirit stone and that was the troublesome interaction

I wonder who actually approved the new jungle overall, i tested Hecarim and Seujani on PBE, they are both shit and cannot even do their first clear unless they get a heavy leash. Meanwhile Yi and Udyr just destroy the jungle and lanes.

Also who the hell approved the Smite champions item? You don't even need to kill any camps to get it, just get smite, rush it and enjoy your instant semi-ignite every 60 seconds.

...and lose out on a lot of other Smite benefits.

The thing is, both champion Smites have the substantial downside of adding a conflicting purpose to the Smite - if you use your Smite on a champion, you can't use it on a jungle camp anymore, and lose out on a significant amount of XP.

Yes, but the thing is, you don't have to even jungle to benefit from the Smite champions buff. You can go Ignite+Smite mid/top and just win every fight because you deal at least half of their health in true damage early in the game, though both will become semi useless late game.

Would be more possible on top, smite powers up in strength with each camp you clear with it, you could charge it for a few mins by clearing krugs/gromp

Devour-er is an enchantment to the jungle item, you can take it with any of the four new items.

Was talking about the Skirmisher's and Stalker's, not about Devourer there. ;)

LMAO. So we back where we started.

What's that, you say? A bunch of new items/changes to jungle has made jungling different than it was before?!?! You can no longer play exactly as before with the exact same results?

I'M SHOCKED.

BiZeBoY2 votes

its not the change that's the problem its the balance. I guess you weren't around when feral flare first appeared

Soooo...it's a better Wit's End?

Is Wit's End being removed this patch as well? If it isn't that's just silly.

No to both questions.

No, he'll still suck compared to the likes of Lee sin. Only difference is he can stay in the jungle longer than the other junglers, he'll still only have his R to think of.

Which is fine, CHallenging lets you counter jungle better, chilling smite makes it easier to gank. I think his concern is the 40 magic damage on hit, but what he doesn't realize is that the gold it costs to get devourer (250 gold), is also roughly the same amount of gold needed for you to obtain feral flare and +15 stacks.
