In this game, people who snap at a troll who goes around feeding their lane and call them out, maybe get angry and tell him to stop are more likely to get baned than the troll himself...

Seriously, RIOT, your whole system is a freaking joke. I reported 5 people who trolled ranked going 0/13 or even worse lately, and I just checked, all of them are STILL ALLOWED TO PLAY and PLAY RANKED!

But I bet if I would have called them Assholes, Jerks or Idiots, I would already be ranked and chat banned.

Oh, you don't actually know how the report system works, but will still insist it's a joke.

The joke would be if it banned anyone off of a single report, that would make it a joke.

Instead it requires multiple people reporting, and if you are say, the boy who cried wolf kind of reporter, your reports don't mean as much as a regular players would.

So, report and move on, Don't know what moron obsesses over people like this, but it isn't healthy.

Who is to say trolling isn't a natural reaction? I mean, people have a reason to do it, and they do it consistently across cultures. Just because something is "natural", and there is absolutely 0 evidence supporting it is a 100% "natural" reaction and could very well have heavy cultural influence, doesn't mean it's okay.

Someone punches you, you want to swing back. Is that natural? Yes. Is it productive? No. We have laws for a reason, because an Velkoz for an Velkoz leaves everyone LeeSin , etc. Look at the chaos revenge murders cause.

Anyway, cussing someone out for making you mad isn't a reaction, either. You make a decision to be a dick back to someone who is being a dick to you. You can also choose not to be a dick. There is choice, ergo it is not a reaction. When you make the decision to fan the flames, you are making the game less enjoyable for everyone no matter how "natural" or "justified" your action may be.

FURTHERMORE, you say making the decision to troll is not a reaction. You are correct in that, strictly speaking, a reaction does not involve choice. It is an instantaneous, programmed response to a stimuli. This thread has been using the term reaction very loosely, as well as the term natural. But the choice to troll people has a stimuli, somewhere down the line, which prompted the person to decide that this behavior was worth the effort, and it's no less "natural" than getting mad at the troll and deciding to troll back or cuss them out.

Except anger is a natural emotion. Have you ever heard of the term "fighting words?" It basically means if you do or say something with the intention of getting a violent reaction, and you get said violent reaction, nobody (not even the justice system) feels bad for you.

No, it's just the laws are cloudy enough here you can get out of it with relative ease. I was also misread and was stating as if operating under the whole online suicide anti bullying thing. In that case, you need to be proven as the definitive cause that triggered the suicide. If they were bullied in any other places, you can get out of it, because you very well could have had no impact on it in actuality. And since they are dead, they can't contest the case.

It's funny you are complaining about the people you highlighted yet when I look at the KDA of the rest of the teams, they are pretty bad as well. Like, just cause you have 11 kills doesn't mean you should have 11 deaths to go with it.

Still give more gold, gives your team an afked so the enemy of said feeder can keep farming. And dying still provides xp for the opponent and puts your team on tilt. YOu can't mute feeders.

No, you're looking at their KDA as a single number.

Jax is 3/11/3, which works out to 0.55 kills or assists per death Olaf is 2/15/5, which works out to 0.47 kills or assists per death Ryze is 0/13/4, which works out to 0.31 kills or assists per death Kassadin is 2/9/4, which works out to 0.67 kills or assists per death

As you look through the games you see other players with similarly upside-down KDA number, particularly in the Ryze game, but also Lulu from the Jax one. While with fewer death's, a quick glance at your match history found a few games with similarly upside-down KDA numbers. Same with my games. That's why it's hard to systematically look at post game numbers and label someone as an intentional feeder, and why the feeder detection is just coming out this patch.

At first I was looking at the first line, and my thoughts were "damn, 0/61, 0/55, this guy really meets a high concentration of trolls... but why do they all have 1 AND ONLY 1 assist? Then I noticed the little things written beneath, and I was like "oh... oh." o__o Yep, there's many good reasons why they are not banned.

people need to learn, calling people assholes will get you banned. Saying you should die is awful. But things like "i hope your next taco is soggy and moist," that is a threat that can't be taken out of context, and has comedic value. That's all people need to do, passive aggressive keeps you sane, and a laugh a lot of times brings your own anger down. "you account should be like graves's cigar"

you realize that is where the disconnect is, a prim and proper family that never swear or cuss exist, while such as my life swearing is in my nature and family life with no intention. But in the end it is the victim that can convey it to riot for you to get banned, so yes asshole can get you in the deep one with some people where most it does not.

so is a lvl 30 BRAND new player that only played bots and hops into ranked. they feed, it may not be intentional, but that's how it is. Also the matter is one report isn't enough on its own 2 or 3 greatly increase the likelyhood of banning, that is why ranked is so ban happy because they are not afraid to 4 man report the one dude that fed.

Unless the dude literally says "I am/will/going to feed" there is no evidence that they aren't actually trying. where if a new player is being criticized for trying, that only worsens the future problem with the community

My roommate and gf are trying to play league now, they go 1/15/3 on beginner bots, that is feeding, but they are trying to get the tactics down, they don't know how to play. It is brand new. They are unskilled. but you need to fail to get better as a new player.

If trolls REALLY bother you, after the game, stay in lobby check there name on lolking or what ever, check there matches, how far apart, if they do things that LOOK troll and are troll, report with that info in it, there games were shotty, they built weird on x y z champs. More info can help riot actually bust TRUE trolls.

For doing that people get banned eventually. Flaming at them accomplishes nothing, they just get what they want: attention and dragging you down with them. For the part where you get banned for flaming them, think of it this way: your teammates try their best to ignore the troll, but you are making the whole experience a lot worse by ranting about it. Even in real life we can't properly punish all assholes and pricks, with the anonomity of the internet they have a lot easier time. Also Lyte hinted that if everything goes well we MIGHT get the tribunal voting before the end of the year.

If your at work and you call your coworker an "piece of shit" or "an asshole" Your more than likely gonna get written up, talked to, and possibly fired. However you say something passive aggressive like the previously stated "I hope your next taco is moist and soggy" You can't get written up you didn't say anything offensive, but you get to threaten them and makes you feel better. Achieving the same end goal without the repercussions.

I wrote a lengthy post about some friends of friends having mental issues and that they're always passive aggressive even if they're nice at first and that makes me assume most people are passive aggressive with mental issues because everyone I've met with mental issues is passive aggressive up until this point in my life.

Talk is cheap but my ears don't lie. People can say w/e they want but thats what I've experienced thus far. I'd prefer to go off of experience then take someones word for it.

The ban system has always been a joke and all Riot did to rectify it was remove the one place players could influence the community - the tribunal.

I cannot fathom that riot could possible be this stupid, so my only theory is that there are so many trolls that to ban them would cause a drop in revenue so they refuse to even acknowledge the problem.

Going into a low level nrmal game with a plat on your team who is duoing with their friend who just spends the whole game insulting everyone for being below level thirty and not understanding the game as well as them. < This should not be allowed, yet they can do it once, just for the "lols" as they told me, and nothing will happen to them.

Agreed. I have said it many, MANY times.. I think this is the biggest problem with moving from tribunal to where we are now..

When tribunal was active, you could SEE (eventually) the result of the reports.
