Varus mid got picked in LCS?

I've played him mid for ages, one of my favorites actually, but I've never used their weird Muramana poke build. AP is a much better choice especially since you can buy Luden's to make your Q still hit like a truck, and if you are going AD, at least use items that actually work on him, since Muramana is functionally half wasted on him since it only applies the bonus damage on his AAs, not his poke.
