How do I show smite damage on the spell?

Whenever I have smite equipped, the amount of damage it will do is in the thumbnail located just above my champion's photo in the HUD, same place where certain cooldowns are located.

type it?

It would be nice to show the smite damage when the spell itself is pinged whether it is on or off CD.

If i recall they removed it from the status bar either in preseason or before. You can still see smite damage by hovering over the smite summoner spell though.
