Fellow junglers. Teach me something.

Do you take kills? I'm in bronze, and have mixed feelings about it.

If I take them, thats less gold in the lanes to snowball with.

Then again, do they know what to do if they do get a lead? do they even know that they have a lead?

So is it better for me to take the kills and use that advantage to pressure other lanes? or the enemy jungler?

Does it depend on the game? how do I know when to take the kills? and when to give them up?

how do you gauge this kind of thing?

if you're in bronze, yes take every kill and use it to carry your team

Depends on who you're playing.

If you play carry junglers (i.e. Rengar, Diana, Yi, etc.) Always take the kill. Especially in Bronze. You can never be sure if someone else knows how to carry, and "leaving" a kill for a laner could result in them escaping if your laner is braindead.

If you play champs like Amumu, Gragas, Sejuani, etc., it's a toss up. It's hard to carry alone as a tank/support jungler, so you can take it or leave it depending on how free it is. If it's a Leblanc or Fizz, kill it with fire. Escapes could come off cooldown at any time.

At the end of the day, even if you take the kill your laner gets an assist and free farm for a while. For me personally, unless the enemy is a pre-6 Cho'Gath with a burned flash at >15 HP still in a Morgana snare, I'm taking that kill because I don't want someone to somehow get away.

Up to you, I wouldn't feel guilty though.

Depends. if I'm super far ahead I'll give kills to my laners. If I'm average or behind I'm taking the kill. That being said if they end up getting it I don't rage or whatever. Lane tax time. But I almost exclusively play shaco, or other carry jungles.. so thats part of it.

Edit: I'll almost always give the kill to top lane. If I can get my top ahead 1-2 kills usually they can fend for themselves the rest of the game, freeing meup to help bot/mid.

LCS players tend to not take the kills unless necessary when they're on "support" junglers, like Gragas or Rek'sai. Generally, it won't matter either way in Bronze. I'd say it'd be rude to just walk up and ks, but then it's not like there are consequences to that.

In general, you need to focus on getting as much gold for yourself as possible. The more gold you have, the less your stupid mistakes will punish you later on.

It depends on what you classify as a KS. If you gank and everyone is at full health, your players will anticipate that you might take the kill, and often times try to beat you to it, but if the enemy champion is low on life, and you KNOW you would be stealing the kill when your teammate is perfectly capable then they will hate you. Also letting the players know that you will gank with a ping is nice so they know they should get the kill or else you will.
