yeah yeah its all in jest, but really, if the only counter play you can think of is "just dodge it" (or "just dont get ulted) Perhaps its time to take a look at the champ.

Nidalee gets a fraction of a cooldown and in fact gains mobility from it.
ItsCalledALance3 votes14 seconds is the base CD. its likely much less than that. i'd say around 8-10 seconds.
his projectiles are also physical damage, which has many much lots of more options for itemization than a pre-nerf nidalee spear.
also they are damn near impossible to dodge compared to a nidalee spear, which was MUCH slower, and did NOT pass through units.
"just dodge it" is not a valid reason for not crushing this stupid free poke with the nerf bat. he does not need poke from that range to do his job.
also look at your own games. You go 15/9 on zed, then go 3/9 on talon. games are very similar. dunno what the bans were, but Talon Vrs Ahri should have the same chances as zed vrs Ahri. BUT zed can poke her like hell, where talon can not, he has to go all in to get anything done, and can be out played.
Zed has by far the safest laning phase of any 2 assassins combined.
not only that in a zed vrs ahri matchup, Ahri has to be hella good with that charm or she insta dies at level 6.
I use her as an example because she is particularly strong right now, and i play her a lot. Not just because I've seen here against your talon.

But Ahri can easily fight zed. She just has to charm right as zed appears behind her, which is very choreographed.
It's actually not too hard to dodge it. Can you dodge every single one? Probably not, otherwise it would probably need to be buffed since a skill is meant to hit but otherwise dodging it isn't too difficult and even if it hits you, it does a small amount of damage when it passes through a minion.
Zed by far has a safer laning phase I agree. He also has more counter play than talon in the form of items and set up time. Items like zhonyas and QSS don't affect talon nearly as badly as talon. Zed also has a very clear window of time to set up his assassination, I.e the ult animation. Talon can pull a rengar without the ! With his ult and ghost blade and kill a squishy before flash can be even touched, as if that'll do much anyways. Zed is also a single target assassin, characterized by that ult, his passive, and the Q damage reduction in multiple targets. Talon excels at aoe damage with his ult, W, and synergy with Hydra.
Overall, a huge range Q every 14 seconds that may or may not hit, may or may not get heavily reduced damage, and at the cost of mobility doesn't seem like it'll ever be nerfed

true,but I hate zed anyway. Seems riot wants him in the LCS, so hes not getting touched.
I prefer talon much much more. I dont like the way zeds ult works, just doens't fit me well.

ItsCalledALance1 votesconsidering he has the 8th highest win rate for diamond level ranked solo play, and is in nearly 1/4th of all games AND has been there for a LONG ass time, i'd say riot is aware, and haven't addressed it because they want him there.
Remember, they did say they balance based on plat and higher play level, and look very closely at each champion regularly.

Second of all, eighth highest. Big whoop...
By that logic there are 7 more champions that need nerfs before him.
Also, zed had a sub 50% win rate for a long time in season 5 and only recently climbed above 50%, mostly because of the wide nerfs of mages and TLD. But, Zed is a champion who's kit has massive counterplay and set up time, so it's something Riot balances out by making very strong. It's fair.

Secondly, while he will regain energy for the next Q1+W1 combo in 14 seconds, Zed will most likely use Shurikens and Shadow Slash to not miss CS, meaning he can't use this 1600 long range poke as often as cooldowns would suggest.
