Is there any reason for not being able to customize Runepages on Champ Select?

Runes are already an old dated system as they currently are. Extremely overpriced. Offer minor stats boost with no interaction. And they ARE VITAL. Having a good runeset can make or break your game. And, for some reason, we're not able to customize our rune pages during champ select.

Riot, can you at least throw us this one bone before the promissed rune rework happening soon(tm)?

they want us to "buy" runepages...

Correct. This is the one comment this thread needs.

Riot wants you to buy rune pages with $$$ and buy ip boost with $$$ so you can buy runes faster.

Not knowing what position/champ you will play 100% (unless your a selfish one trick dipshit, but even then bans) means you need to have A LOT of rune pages so you can have the best tool for the job.

So we cant edit runes because, you know, balance reasons... balancing the checkbook for Rito reasons.
