Stealth is important for Duskblade to work

Had 2 Riven in different games try a lethality build, they won lane really well but as soon as they grouped up they were useless.

Veigar was intentionally feeding so we lost but Riven was insanely ahead: https://image.prntscr.com/image/BP8LMuHHSeyil63vgyjCPw.png

Once again a super ahead Riven, she was 6/1 by 13 minutes but still, lost the team fights: https://image.prntscr.com/image/7uJ_0A7VRwOGVVUda700Bw.png https://image.prntscr.com/image/4jKhTy90Sm_RDzt2b4GosA.png

So yeah. Riven never used the actual duskblade proc in teamfights because we would have vision of her. Duskblade is strong and all but you gotta make sure you get that stealth otherwise it won't be good. Also gotta ask yourself if you have enough mobility to get to the enemy and proc it within 1s because that's how long it will last if you are seen.

In that second game Riven also got an insane 4 man knock up during that fight, her team was right behind her as well. We still won though because she just didn't have enough with lethality alone to actually one shot. I also did a clutch exhaust :s but still.

Before you go on and buy duskblade on everyone make sure you can actually use it effectively or that the lethality will be enough for you.

I see you wrongfully blaming the riven when in game 1

jhin: 2/5/6 Rakkan:0/6/9 Veigar: 3/12/3 Warick: 4/6/6, which is a below average score itself

So literally everyone in this game played like shit, The only way she could of carried that game was if she prayed to lord faker for strength and pulled some diamond quality plays.

Game 2

3/9/14 Karma 5/12/8 Yasuo 3/12/6 Ezreal 2/5/10 Syndra

Yet another game entire team played like shit, this one even HARDER to carry, the riven literally had two teamates in double digit negatives.

All I see in this post is you having biased hate towards Riven and her build. She did nothing wrong her build is fine. Not to mention the second game had a super good fed vayne, a champion who is AMAZING at dealing with champs like Riven for Vayne can just go "lol nope, stealth + Condemn, gtfo here kid"

Woah that's an interesting interpretation. I didn't realize how much I hated Riven players but thanks for enlightening me :s

You know how that RIven got that KDA in the first game? It was from my ganks and us working together and trying to shut down Kog'Maw, which we did. I also gave my life up twice to prevent her from getting shut down. And if you bothered to read the post you would've noted that we didn't lose because "everyone played like shit", we lost because Veigar was intentionally feeding.

Once again the fact that you didn't read the post is really evident... "she was 6/1 by 13 minutes but still, lost the team fights:" and the spike in gold gain was that one teamfight. She was stomping on our Mordekaiser. Morde was 1/4 and she outplayed a Master Yi gank and turned it into a double kill. That Vayne wasn't super good fed until that teamfight and when we continued to group up for objectives.

All I see in this post is you having biased hate towards Riven and her build.

You gave me a good laugh though. I haven't read something so serious yet so mislead in awhile, sure there's troll posts but this was pretty chuckle worthy. BIASED HATE. You've earned my +1

Here are the main points of my post:

  • Stealth is important for Duskblade to work
  • Duskblade is strong and all but you gotta make sure you get that stealth otherwise it won't be good. Also gotta ask yourself if you have enough mobility to get to the enemy and proc it within 1s because that's how long it will last if you are seen.
  • Before you go on and buy duskblade on everyone make sure you can actually use it effectively or that the lethality will be enough for you.

I find hybrid lethality is good.

I like duskblade into Cleaver with Riv

I think so as well. Riven will always have to get her hands dirty 7 times out of 10 and the defensive stats from Black Cleaver are necessary so that she doesn't get blown up instantly.

It's difficult and not optimal for Riven to go full lethality because she doesn't have the same fast mobility as an assassin and can't play that flank role too well unless she has flash up or something.

ever heared of bushes to kite in and out of vision?

Yes I have and I reckon that's why Riven won lane so hard. But how viable of a strategy is that when team fighting comes and can the champion just play around bushes the whole time to work out. Rengar for sure because he has his leap range to make distance. However for a lot of other champions that's not the case, Riven included. She can dash back but her dash back in is too slow unless the enemy is a dingo and doesn't respect lethality.
